AYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
Brandon Boston, Jr. headed to New Orleans via Memphis.
Yes traded to us!! My guy!! Hope we keep him cause he may lead our G league team baby!!
He's traded to the clippers
I love our draft!!! BJ Boston was a top 10 pick before the year started. Love the size too, big wings is what we needed.
Our G League team going to be good
Perk giving Griff some love
3 picks traded for cash considerations, bet that covers the cost of firing SVG.
And Boston looks to be traded to the Clippers.

Cash considerations. Cash considerations. Cash considerations.
We know the odds of a second round pick ever being a valuable NBA player are low: can anyone please tell me how many Cash Considerations have made an all-star team?
Trey Murphy and Herb Jones is a solid draft imo. Herb is that strong culture guy with hard defense and limited Offense. Trey is the definite 3 & D hybrid we can use and mold. I like these picks the more i think about it. And of course we're going to sign some more UDFA to go into the summer league and G league.
Damn that would of made the draft getting Boston to develop in the G league till he’s ready! That really pisses me off
A good night I guess
Final draft haul

17: Trey Murphy III
35: Herb Jones
43: Future POR 2nd TBD and Cash TBD
51: ??? (Something from LAC)
53: $2M from PHI
Glad we are a championship team with a loaded roster with no G league team to develop talent.
Clippers giving us something good like George or Beverly?
I grade this draft a D.
17: Trey Murphy. Not my first choice but he'll probably be fine. I trust him to be a solid shooter with some movement upside, and he'll be an okay defender even though I don't buy him as high end. Not a huge amount of upside, but he's fine.
35: Herb Jones. Who cares.
43: Cash Considerations.
51: Cash Considerations.
53: Cash Considerations.
Extremely *extremely* underwhelming with pretty poor asset management.
Not over. See last year where we found out Adams was involved. Just a hunch

Well, Griff has some ground to make up with the flexibility that has been created....
These
Don’t know why anyone would expect meaningful selections after round 1 in the NBA draft for a team that’s trying to acquire ready now players who can build around the core
Griff better hope Boston doesn’t turn into a quality NBA player cause that had my emotions high to low within seconds! F U Griff!! It would of been nice to have a player I’ve heard of playing for our brand new G league team. What a dumb move IMO?!? If you want people to actually watch your new G league team why not bring in someone like Boston
Are we saving up for something really big?
And this is how the Pelicans expand the Memphis trade into Lillard https://t.co/e9B3rzrIJa

I mean, literally none of those said he was the worst GM in the league.
Funcrushers was literally just asking if the jury was still out on him as a draft guy :hihi: he even called him ''pretty solid'' at some things. Not even close to calling him the worst GM in the league.
The only one that could really be interpreted as just outright saying he sucks is PelicanNations, which is probably a bit of hyperbole but that's all.
******** me
No point whining and complaining, embrace the new picks
Don?t sweat. Bigger moves going on. Be patient

I hope Trajan has his phone locked and loaded with Matthew Hurt's number and as soon as the draft is over, invites him to participate in the Pelican Summer League Program. 6'9" snipers don't grow on trees.
What must Zion be thinking? Hopefully he cool with our draft
I have a lot of posts, I'm not going searching for them all.
In 2019, I wanted Zion with #1 and then with 8 and 17 I wanted any of Jax or Brandon Clarke at 8 and then Matisse Thybulle at 17. I was fine with the NAW pick as well, saying that he would probably be a fine rotation guard on a playoff team.
Last year I was fine with Kira at 13, though my first choice was actually Tyrese Maxey. With our pick that ended up getting traded around - eventually RJ Hampton'ing - I wanted Desmond Bane (as anyone who was on the board at the time will remember me saying incessantly) or Xavier Tillman Sr, and I was particularly annoyed that Tillman fell to 39th.
This year at 17 I would have taken Springer as my first priority; at 35 I would have taken Jared Butler or Sharife Cooper.
Aaron Henry and Reaves please.
