I mean, even the best guys out there are going to be lucky to get a two way deal, if we have any to give.
All our talent is getting summer league load management, waiting on the Lakers to get their ******** together, or bumped their knee.
Here's a thought: This is basically what Demps would've put as our full summer league team if he were still around.
I like Dawkins and Cheatham. I want to see what they can do.
I'm really liking Bigby-Williams's game. I had scene him a few games at LSU. Didn't know he declared.
He is good at what he does. Somewhat of a smaller Looney. I think a developing team looking for athletic bigs will pick him up after summer league. Should at least be able to get in the G League.
Cheatham and Bigby-Williams look good. Hustle guys. Not impressed with the guards at the moment in this game.
So this is what being a Knicks fan feels like.

"Hello darkness my old friend...."
I think Bigby-Williams can possibly be a 5th or 6th big in the league. Great athleticism, can shoot free throws with a decent shot, good in the pick & roll. I thought Dawkins was gonna maybe get drafted. He did some chunking from deep last game though.
I really liked Schofield as a combo forward and hope it wasn’t a mistake taking Didi over him. There was a ton of players I liked at 35, but a draft & stash guy was the right away to go. Bol Bol is who I wanted though lol
I just wished we picked up Naz Reid & Louis King for summer league
Come on Pels pull this one off, so when we hopefully we get Hayes, NAW, & Didi we have as shot for them to get some games in
Why didn’t they play Kenrich Williams?
Is Chris Wood hurt or something? Was looking forward to seeing if he had added to his game...
Damn you should of kicked it back out for a opening 3 Cheatham!! Damn should of had Dawkins in there too. Oh well!!

I don’t know. Based upon company, it seems like you’d better off being the guy who DOESN’T play in this thing.
Plus we know Chris can dominate roughly this level of competition. He was averaging 29/14/2/2/1 in the G league, a setting with with perhaps less higher end talent but more organization and defense. What can you learn further about him here? Probably want to see him practice, interact with younger teammates, see how he adjusts to different concepts, etc.
If both he and Kenrich show out, Okafor has a very low guarantee and I don’t think is assured a spot. Pedigree aside, I like Wood’s mobility, rim protection, pick and roll skills and potential for shooting a bit better and picking in a vacuum I think he has a higher upside than Williams or Okafor.
I do like Jah for three reasons, though. I think as a change of pace center his post up ability has some value as a floor raiser for second units. You can throw it to him and get a bucket on reasonable efficiency. Second I think he still has outstanding footwork in the post and there’s some stuff Zion and Hayes can learn from practicing with him. Third, I think as a young veteran who went to the same school who really worked on improving his body, he could be a positive influence on Zion in terms of habits and taking care of yourself as a professional and on the road.
Media asked Vinson about him, on mobile so can't embed but this is Will Gs tweet:

Man, I am glad I didn't end up staying awake for this game. Jesus, what a horror show.
Been disappointed with Cheatham. Thought he was gonna bring more. I like his athleticism and his hustle, but he's done nothing for me so far. Bigby-Williams is the guy I've liked a lot. That kid can play.
Blueitt showed that he hasn't lost his touch. He just has to slow it down a little bit though. That last second shot with 8 seconds left was a facepalmer.
Bigby has been the standout of the rest so far.
It's weird to watch Cheatham. Sometimes he will play great stifling defense and rebound aggressively. Other times he will let a dude shoot a wide open 3 right in his face, and then stand there like a spectator as someone else grabs a rebound. He just needs an "always on" switch and he would be an All Star.
I know he's not a Pelican, but since he's a high draft pick it's worth noting:
RJ Barrett had one of the worst games I've seen in a while last night. He had 8 points on 3 of 15 shooting, 8 turnovers to only 1 assist, shot 1 of 4 from the FT line, and was thoroughly outshined by Ignas Brazdeikis, the guy the Knicks picked at #47.
I liked the Brazdeikis pickup for them, because he's just a guy who can flat out score, and he isn't afraid of anyone on offense. He does have big, big holes in his game, but at #47 I thought he was a very nice choice for them, and he showed it with 30 points and 8 rebounds, 11 of 19 from the floor, 3 of 6 from deep. 5 turnovers still isn't good but is much more palatable when it comes from a guy who is really making stuff happen offensively, rather than someone like RJ who was just coughing it up while producing nothing.
Horrible, horrible performance from Barrett to watch.
RJ was terrible. Coach Ks system is pro oriented and all the weaknesses he exhibited in college are transferring to pros and unfortunately he doesn’t have another real presence pulling attention or playing on a smaller 3 to rim distance court.
In my honest assessment, he lacks the athleticism and ball handling to be the player he really wants to be. It’s summer league but his weaknesses should be ringing off some alarms there in Manhattan. I hope he realizes that he probably needs to be a 3 and D guy until he finds his pro spots and matures his game before it’s too late.
Sorry if it's already been discussed but does anyone know if bigby signed the exhibit 10 yet? I know at first it was reported it was signed, and then there were some saying it wasn't signed and he was weighing options.
The #Pelicans are back in action tonight and new rookies @hayes_jaxson, @TheReal_NAW1 and @didi_louzada will see their first action!#Pelicans vs Bulls

Here's the game time and where you can see it. Looking forward to seeing Hayes, NAW, and Didi. Not looking forward to the horrible takes that will inevitably crop up on twitter after seeing them play :hihi:
Ok my young bulls going to do work! @TheReal_NAW1 @hayes_jaxson @didi_louzada https://t.co/XPGlDmUnd4

Josh Hart's looking forward to seeing the guys play too!
Just saw that Cameron Payne is playing in Summer League.
Man is damn near 25, and is going into his 4th year in the NBA. He's played over 150 NBA games.
That's sad.
Not sure on status of a few others, but here's Trajan Langdon on draft picks vs. Bulls: "These three guys have already sat two games, so they're going to play. They've been chomping at the bit for a while. It will affect minutes for other guys who've played the first two games." https://t.co/44yTQbmA0D

Expect less Frank Jackson, more NAW as lead guard.
Less Bigby-Williams, more Hayes.
Less Kenny Hustle, more Didi Silva
They're legit gonna start this game 30 minutes late :hihi:
It didnt go overtime, but it did run late. ESPN3 just went live on the Pels game.
Gotta say, one of my least favourite things about the NBA (even more disliked than the fact that games are on at silly times here in the UK) is the fact that if a game is due to start at, say, 2:30am, it will inevitably ACTUALLY start at 2:55am. Games always start 10 minutes after they're supposed to, and then they have the announcements of players, then the national anthem, and by the time the game actually ''starts'' it's 20 minutes after the listed time.
Edit: this isn't specifically about THIS game, this game just reminded me. Happens in the regular season, and gets worse in the playoffs.
All three new guys starting!
Walker with the early 3!
I like Hayes a lot. He looks so smooth out there.
Loving Hayes' movement right now! Got the ball beyond the arc, dribble handoff, dove to the paint. Everyone missed the pass inside, but he came back out and set the screen to create space again for Louzada, then dove again to the paint. Caught a fastball pass, got the dunk.
So good.
First two plays, NAW and Hayes both do something stupid and something really good.
NAW greatest basketball player ever: confirmed.
Hayes is just in the right place every play right now. Caught that pass from Kenrich despite the awful delivery, sunk both free throws.
He's looking great
