Waht you first said was, (summarizing) You'd pick Kobe and Wade over Rose at this stage in their career as being top 5 players. And Yes I would. Being a GM and not taking a trade has nothing to do with being a top 5 player on. I completely agree Rose is more valuable to his franchise due to his age. I'm saying he peaked this year. Who's to say he doesn't surpass that next year. I'm not one to tell Kobe he can't do something. That's when he surprises everyone and does what they thought he couldn't. I wouldn't use the word decline and Kobe in the same breathe. He will retire before he starts to decline.

Look. You say wade and Kobe aren't in the declining stage of their careers. I say they are. U come in the league and u start out raw. You then hit your peak years which are your absolute best. Your rating them guys top 5 based on certain things and I'm basing rose top 5 on certain things. I look at it as if I'm gonna start my team up with a top guy who would it be. I'd take rose over both right now. That's what I'm saying. In no way am I minimizinig wade and Kobe's careers or their basketball iq or skill.

What on earth is your definition of "peak years". LOL I would say the man's best year would be a peak right? Or does peak mean something else? Am I missing something here? Once again I don't like that Wade is even in this conversation with Kobe. Wade is declining, Kobe is a different story though my friend.

You're talking about physical primes versus production. Kobe or Wade Never carried a team anywhere by themselves. . And you know what, neither has Rose. His team is doing AS good without him.You don't win in the NBA with one player. I'm telling you, and so is anyone else in the conversation, their production (which is a measurement of their contributions on the court) is not declining with age. I show tyou the proof and you tell me to "trust you" because you see it. Just because they don't score the same way doesn't mean they're less productive.

You ever focus on his footwork. It's simply amazing. Sometimes when I get bored while watching a Laker game(which was often this year), I'll just sit and watch his feet for a quarter. That's one of the main things that has kept him a step ahead of the rest in his old age.

Kobe carried his team when they won the championships without shaq. He had help yes. But he def carried his team. He is no longer capable of doing that cause of not being able to play as many minutes(def a sign of decline) and not being able to beat his man off the dribble as he used to. Ok so let's hypothetically put it like this. You take Kobe now or do u take Kobe in 2003-2005?? Pleas be honest and don't just give the answer that will just support your argument.

I know, I know. But I think LeBron has a lot to do with that. And well I have issues with the Heat so I'm a bit biased. But I do feel Wade is declining. His body is sooo much further gone than Kobe's. His back, knees, and everything else. Injuries have taken a huge toll on him and it shows. But he's still going hard so I'll give him that.

Because Lebron would have shut him down just like he did the year before. Plus, the Heat was much better last season than the team the pounded the Bulls two years ago. Sorry, but Derrick Rose isn't beating Lebron/Wade in a 7 game series.

Kobe Averages 36.65 MPG over his entire Career. This year he averaged 38.6 MPG. Any other "proof"?

Look man before you say stuff please know what your saying. His minutes have not declined at all. His career MPG is about 36.5 if I remember right and this season he averaged right around 38.5 MPG. That's called "INCREASE". Not decline.

Your debating two completely different things as well. You keep asking if we'd take Rose to start a team, or if we'd rather younger Kobe than older Kobe. Those questions make no sense. Not a single person said we would take old guys to start a franchise. That would just be ridiculous and probably get us fired pretty quick. We(I) am simply saying Kobe has not declined yet and his play on the courts and his efficiency and stats prove that. Plain and simple.
