Oh my.......
but seriously the slander was so real on twitter after that dunk.....poor Brandon Knight....he is going to be known for 2 of the most embarassing things to happen to you on a court for the rest of his life......its hilarious and sad all at the same time.
Inner GI only would have been impressed if it looked like this (lol bad photoshop, but true)

Not a guard, but i remember when maxiell blocked the cp-tc alley-oop, i thought i was having a nightmare, i didn't think ANYONE save chandler could jump THAT high and be able to block the ball to boot. Geez. I mean ok nice dunk jordan, but whatever, still mr. no one (and paid handsomely to be such a one!)
Gotcha on the 2 feet too far. Here are some screen shots of the play right before the inbound and right before the shot. SORRY FOR THE QUALITY! Got it from nba.com, Davis was on Lillard the whole time, lillard set the screen on the inbounder (Ryno) and it looks like davis stayed with the inbounder (sorry dont know his name) instead of staying with lillard. Look we won the game, and I love AD and his defense, i just don't like him guarding lillard in that situation. Especially when they really only needed a 2, could have ran right past davis for an easy lay up/shot. Not a big deal since we won, just questioning that decision by monty.

Yeah you live and learn, but he was too far inside.
RTB,
Do you have shots to earlier than the first one? I thought Aminu had Lillard but once Aldridge went to the 3pt line Aminu and Davis switched. Nice work though. I don't dislike the AD on Lillard though. He was just a tad to low to recover.
Players leaving the bench... if I remember from my Phoonix Suns fandom days, that's a 3 game suspension.
OOOO ok i see what you are saying now. Unfortunately I do not, this is fro nba.com and this is the earliest they have of that play. So you are saying we put AFA on lillard correct?

I'd be willing to bet they were banking on Aldridge screening for Lillard and that would have led to a switch putting Farouq on Lillard and Davis on Aldridge.
Reading you guys' comments I just so happened to record the last qtr and coming out of that timeout, AD was on Aldridge and Aminu was on Lillard. Ryan was on the inbounder. Before the ball was inbounded, Lillard and Aldridge moved and that's when the switch came. AD stayed on Lillard while the inbounder got the ball to Aldridge who was being guarded by Aminu. Once the inbounder inbounded the ball, Ryan went with the inbounder and AD was about to go to the inbounder too until he realized that Lillard got freed and that's when he tried to recover. Hope that wasn't too confusing. LOL.
I keep looking at it. When Lamarcus got the ball, it looked like he was about to face Aminu up to shoot the ball but instead he passed it to Lillard. I don't know if AD was going to try to get position to rebound in case Aldridge missed or what (see the vid on page 18) but he seemed to be distracted by Aminu and Aldridge which caused him to kind of lose Lillard. I don't know. But yeah, when the original play started, AD was on Aldridge and Aminu was on Lillard.
the crazy thing about that AD guarding lillard play is how far away he was when Lillard caught it and he still got a decent contest on the shot. freak
From the way GV played SG last I saw one of his main strength stand out, spot up shooting. He looks like he would be an excellent first guard off the bench for either positions.
That's not dumb at all, he seemed to be very comfortable not looking exclusively to make plays for others. Earlier in the season he was shooting better and oddly before Gordon came back it seems. Before then he had to carry more of the offensive load, so he had to shoot more and look for his own shot more. Dosent that sound perfect for a 6th man?
Good you imagine a bench unit containing the likes of Vasquez, Rivers, and Anderson. I'll take that with a smile on my face. :D
Since the D. Jordan video is making the rounds.... i think this one is better>

Can someone post the link to what McNamara was going off about last night after the game??
I'm assuming it was his twitter. Actively rooting for the Hornets to lose, and because we won last night, he started saying it was heartbreaking, and now we are stuck having to pick from Len, Zeller, and Gobert instead of Porter, Oladipo, and Smart.
Said he couldn't take watching the Hornets win especially after Kings lost.
Also said the Hornets NEED to go 0-3 this week.
It was pathetic.
Quailman was right. Lose and people complain. Win an people complain.
i can guarantee you that no one who went to that game is complaining.
I was glad to get to see AD on the court in the closing minutes of a very close game. If he's not in that game, Aldridge gets that rebound and Blazers likely win that game.
I'm ok with "rooting" for the team to lose, because he's right, it will land us a better player.
But he was being a little to dramatic last night. Heartbreaking win, studying film of Len, Zeller, and Gobert instead of Porter, Oladipo, and Smart. Just a little to much.
This was an exciting game. AD was swinging at the 3 pointers that the Blazers were shooting at the end of the game. He was not going to give up wide open shots.
He was a bit late but he did give up that 3 to Lillard. He thanked Ryan for relieving him by getting that And 1 afterwards. He was pivotal in contesting that last 3 by Matthews. Thomas ran into a kind of hard screen by Aldridge and Davis saw Matthews heading for that corner and quickly got over there. Made Matthews shoot it faster and higher than he wanted to.
