I really think we could run an NBA all time redraft at some point. That would be fun.

Greg Monroe
This emerging star brings a very unorthodox style of both offense and defense at his position. He is an excellent facilitator out of the high and low-post, and his per36 numbers give him a double-double average at 17 points, 10 boards, and nearly 4 assists. With his quick hands and guard like skills, he is also a very good rim protector from below it, often stripping big guys down low before they have the chance to put up shots. With his skillset the Spurs are trying to build a team that will thrive off of making the extra-pass and playing a selfless brand of basketball.
Also, it's one of the few times I can ever take any joy in being from the westbank, so thanks Greg.
Figured it wouldn't be long before those two went off the board. Good picks.
Feel like its been a week since I picked lol
Like I've said, I bring facts and you bring opinion. Not to mention it is yet to be seen who I will put next to Boozer. I can guarantee you I won't put someone who's a poor fit like you did though. You can laugh at it all you want, but the stats prove Boozer allows less points per play than Aldridge and Cousins, holds his opponent to a lower shooting percentage than those two, defends the pick and roll much better than those two (that's another thing I never touched on, you put two guys who struggle to defend the pick and roll side by side), points per play and shooting percentage wise. Fouls less than Cousins. Not to mention he's an above average rebounder for his position, something Aldridge and Cousins are not. I mean Aldridge is a below average rebounder and barely posts a rebound rate of above 13.5, that's hovering in guard territory.
It doesnt matter who u put next to boozer because your starting PF is carlos freaking Boozer!! This is the same boozer that chicago was trying to move for bargnani. Cousins and aldridge are both bastly vastly superior players to boozer on every facet of the game. Boozer was great 4 years ago... Today not so much.
I'm not going to argue with you, you're exactly what's wrong with these redrafts. I've brought all the facts that Boozer is having one of his better seasons of his career and statistically rates above BOTH of your bigs, especially defensively and you just want to discount that because you have names and watch ESPN and TNT, just look no further than your "Aldridge is the best mid range shooting big in the league" when the facts say he's barely average and Boozer is three percentage points better, and still is barely inside the top 10 for PF's. Heck, look at how you brought up yesterday that Durant played with Westbrook and Harden as if that means something for your team, but never brought up the fact that OKC played a top 5 pace last season, if this was real life and you tried to play at that pace with the wings that you're going to put next to your top 3 it would be a disaster, and if you didn't that means less shots for everyone involved that don't really bring much else to the game, like a few of us have tried to state to you. If we were playing on 2K you might have me beat but you aren't building a real team.
Have to agree. I don't think the boozer pick was a fantastic one as he is helped by the guys he plays with defensively but there were worse options, I thought he was a middle third type guy. But when you picked Cousins I was relieved. Had you picked a big who could play D or a pg who could have an outside game and get guys in spots you would have made me look stupid for allowing those trades you chose talent over team not worrying about how guys mesh. No bench. Durant could carry you past the first. But your team is a lot like this years Lakers.
Very valid points there.
Like I said, there were guys I liked more than Booz but I felt pretty much forced to take a big because of the run on them. I was also looking for something particular with that pick, and I hit a home run with Boozer. Honestly though there was one guy I liked more but didn't even realize he was still available.
And you also brought up the point that started this entire debate, he won't be able to put guys around Durant, Aldridge, and Cousins, whether they are a good fit or not. Those guys can only carry an entire team for so long.
Sorry if me mentioning last years team had anything to do with this Booz fueled argument. I was just making an observation about my last team and what people said. Not trying to tick anybody off.
Fair point. honestly, yes I wanted a big man who could play defense. I wrote previously in this thread that Chandler, Noah and Horford were the 3 guys I targeted when I made my 2nd trade and all 3 went right before my pick so I had to go with plan D and Cousins was IMO the best C left. I could respect this point of view.
With the 48th pick, the 76ers select PF Amare Stoudemire.
The last two bigs I wanted was selected above in Gasol and Greg and it ****ing suck! But I feel I landed a a guy who shouldve been selected.
AD23MVP you draftedCarlos Boozer.... Carlos Boozer. Think about that for a second. Also, please show me this statistic that actually somehow quantifies that Boozer is a better defender than Aldridge (heres a clue.. no such actual statistic exists that can meaningfully quantify an unquantifiable measure like defense).
If you don't believe me, ask any Bulls fans out there what they think of Boozer, that should settle it for you.
Again Durant is the 2nd best player in the world and one of the best shooters in the league. He draws double teams and draws defenders out of the paint. Durant has never had a big man nearly as talented as Aldridge. If teams focused everything on Durant and Aldridge, you have a 7 foot beast who has been dominating teams over the last few months in the middle. I have 3 guys that need to be doubled on this team.
With the 49th overall pick in the HR Redraft, the Golden State Warriors select....

Michael Conley Jr
Mike Conley is a crafty left handed point guard who has improved vastly since entering the league. He has the poise to control the game at the tempo he wants and has a good well rounded offensive game. Perhaps his best quality is his defense however, he is vastly known as one of the premier defenders at his position. He isnt a "sexy pick" but he is one of the best floor generals in all of basketball and the Warriors are glad to have him fall to the 3rd round.
If the guys above have choosen not to take the two bigs he would be yours. He maybe be my big off the bench depending on how the rest of the draft goes. Im confident ill have one of the better teams if things go as plan, it not very hard to match anyone with Lebron. Lol
There are so many people still available that should have been pick earlier it's honestly making it very hard for me just to pick between them...
also I'm not sure If I should just draft talent at this point or stick with the plan.
