Lakers imploding makes our season that much more tolerable. Talk about a dumpster fire.

Since taking over as president of the Lakers, Magic Johnson never fully committed to the job. Often he was traveling and away from the team. His office hours were limited. He didn't do a lot of scouting. Running an NBA team takes a tremendous commitment of time and energy.

Interesting point by Steve Bulpett, that if Magic thought he could get Davis, he wouldn't be resigning:

I get that Magic Johnson's life was a lot easier when he wasn't president of the Lakers, but I wonder how much of this is also him realizing the long-shot of getting a major free agent this summer. Also think he might hang around if he thought he could trade for Anthony Davis.

Reports broke earlier that the Lakers organization weren't expecting to be able to bring in a star. Even with all that cap room it's an absolute dumpster fire.

I could seem them actually throwing a full max at Cousins just to say they signed someone.

What a beautiful disaster.

Think it's safe to say that in the historical ''Lakers vs Celtics'' rivalry, the 2010's goes to Boston?
