3rd Time Visiting from Australia

Hi guys,

I will be visiting in December for the 3rd time, I was there last year for 4 nights with my wife for our Honeymoon but made the mistake of heading straight for the Hand Grenades upon arrival.... the next 48 hours was rough.

Was wondering if anyone could help with some recommendations for things to do? My wife sent the below very rough outline for our stay... feel free to comment or help us make some better choices!!

P.S - I just travel to eat... nothing else matters. My wife enjoys doing all of the cultural/history stuff and I tag along for the food stops.

Day 1: train. arrive. Nap. Go for ad hoc dinner & light drinks on bourbon street.
Day 2: shopping/art on Royal street, lunch at Felix’s (oysters, po boys), ad hoc dinner. Night on Frenchman street.
Day 3: sleep, recover. Dinner at Boucherie (Krispy Kreme).
Day 4: Algiers, Treme walking tours. Dinner at Atchafalaya. Night on Bourbon street – have whatever stupid drinks you want. 
Day 5: sleep, recover. Hide novelty cups from view. Fight. Eat. Ghost tour.
Day 6: drive short distrance to Vacherie Planatation at some point (only 1-2 hours). rest. Relax. Wander grounds.
Day 7: tour other plantations. Drive to lafayette in arvo.
Day 8: Swamp tour. Cajun food.
