Ok, I have to ask. What if we stop Miami Streak???
The Hornets are (3-0) in their last three games against Boston, Memphis, and Denver. No matter how that is examined , its still very impressive.
I know the KNAT is very important for the future, but to break two major streaks and stop a Historic team........ I think may be a launching point for a winning franchise, respect around the league, and a major shift in culture for New Orleans Basketball.
This game is very major, I thought the possible outcome of a win, which can set up HUUUUUUUGE things for the Pelicans franchise. Our confidence and swagger will be through the roof next season.

I'm enjoying the Heat's streak but I would be proud as hell if my favorite team would be the one to end it. I don't hate the Heat at all. They play great team basketball and Lebron is easily the best player in the world, but it would be a great honor if the Hornets could be the one to end the streak.

Again, not saying we should lose this game, but I'm downplaying the whole "momentum for next season" talk.
You're allowed to have an opinion, but we don't have to agree on it lol. Getting Davis and the guys that return for next season the confidence to know you can possible beat one of the best teams ever during their greatest streak isn't just momentum for next season, it's a learning and a teaching point for their careers. This is the closest thing to playoff basketball we will have this season.
It also can help give perception that we're the hottest up and coming team out there, which is big in terms of "winning the offseason". If I'm a FA and the team that stopped Denver a Miami's streak is offering me the same as Sacramento... I know what in picking. As I said in the beginning of my first post, I don't think beating them has some long term ground Breaking effect; just some subtle momentum.
