Vasquez at SF?
Maybe I'm imagining this, but didn't Monty throw the idea out there? If we got someone that ran the 1 (besides possibly Rivers, or maybe just Rivers)...how do you think he would do? I think offense would be ok, but what do you think about defense (couldn't get worse? I mean, bigger guys are a little slower?). He would be a really good passer at the 3 and maybe a good Aminu compliment. Sometimes it's good to look within. What do you think on the feasibility of it? He would be a bit small.

I just imagined Vasquez having to guard LeBron or Durant. If he was guarding some of the slower, corner shooting SFs then I think the results would be better, but right now theres so many athletic wing players in the league I think he would just let his man get past him for a dunk every time.

Vasquez at the 3 would be horrific. Even when we go 3 guards Mason is usually guarding the SF position because, even at his age, he is faster and quicker than Vasquez. Honestly, I don't even think Vasquez can guard the "3pt specialist" SFs in the league. He constantly cheats off his man, and Vasquez does not have the quickness to recover and close out on the shooter.
Vasquez is a PG or occasional SG.

Awful idea. He loses his height advantage while still having an significant disadvantage in athletic ability.
-
Athletically only people Vasquez could guard is fowards and centers. But then the size diff makes it a mismatch anyway. Only person Vasquez ain't at a disadvantage against might be Kendall Marshall. And even then...
-
Not as a starter, but if he continues to improve his shot I can see him becoming a supersub that gets minutes at the 1, 2 and 3.

If you think Vasquez's defense is bad against a PG then close your eyes if this happens.
