We lost one of the best color commentators around. I hope we didn’t do this willingly because Wesley was the man. He also had the ultimate yoda laugh

That would stink. Already don't like Daniels on the Fox Sports Studio show. Joel and David are a good team. At least get Lieberman if you're going to replace Dave...

New director and producer which means everything is getting changed up. I just called my friend who does lots of TV work for Pelicans and LSU. The Disney buyout of FoxSports Regional Networks now in effect.

Jen Hale probably out too. She is in the big time now at FS1

That really sucks. I always pay extra for nba league pass just to have the option to have pelicans broadcast with Joel and David

So upsetting to hear that David isn't joining us anymore. I really enjoyed his work. Antonio is a good guy though, and gives good analysis. But I always enjoyed David's commentary. His insight and natural reactions were top notch.

Anyone know why?

When I was in high school, a few friends and I piled in a car and drove to NOLA to catch a game against the Sonics. Afterwards we met Baron Davis and David Wesley. Baron was a total **** to us. Wesley saw that and went out of his way to be cool to us. I still have my Baron Davis jersey signed by David Wesley. That moment really did shape me in to how I treat others. He is such a good guy and I loved listening to him during broadcasts. I would absolutely hate if we dropped him.

I hope they start streaming games from the site. Preseason games anyway.

David Wesley became a fantastic commentator.. we finally had a legit broadcast team with Joel, David, and Jen..

It's a shame to see Wesley go. I can't really judge Daniels because I pretty much try to stick to our own broadcast team wherever possible and when I watch other teams I usually don't pay too much attention to their commentators if I can help it. They usually suck.

Does anybody know why and if this was D-Dubs decision or Fox (Disney's)? DW was really good with Joel and while I know AD is good for OKC and they love him, I don't think he's to the level that Wesley was... He's a little too serious and lacks the corny humor and intangibles that Wesley brought to the table.

Maybe Gerry V is returning? :hihi:

Bummer. This is a bad decision on someone's part (even if it's Wesley's).
