Title is interesting. I wonder if that means there will be a GM under him.
Griffin will be both POBO and GM.

A feel good read for the fellow lakers haters
Just a guess.

One day I'll learn to imbed tweets.
Woj just corrected saying they are working on the title but he will oversee basketball operations. You may be right Aussie.
We just fleeced the Lakers.
didn't he orchestrate the Kyrie trade?

The name that keeps coming up as the Lakers’ natural target: Ex-UCLA Bruin Bob Myers https://t.co/I8R9dBwdUQ

I’m speaking it into existence.
Lakers will trade Lebron to the Pels for Solo, Johnson, Diallo, Okafor, and some first round picks.

His title has changed to Executive VP of Basketball Operations.
Really weird title to me unless Mrs B herself is PoBO.
Also, does this mean there's still a GM coming? If so odds are Rosas since he was a finalist with Gentry and Griffin.
The answer we all want to hear!
Here’s David Griffin on what his ‘Anthony Davis plan’ would be if he was in charge.

Looks like he got his wish — he’s just been hired by the New Orleans Pelicans. pic.twitter.com/ALq31iKw8T
Danny Ainge has a strong relationship with Griffin (he worked on Ainge's coaching/video staff in Phoenix). Have a feeling those guys will be talking a lot in the next few months. https://t.co/dj3vnrNOOl

Also worth mentioning Griffin has a working relationship with Gentry(PHX)
ferry and griffin were the 2 finalist for the job....ferry quit....griffin is our new pobo/GM, whatever title you want to call him,,griffin will be running the show...
Great to hear since he won a championship with Cleveland. I supported Dell also, but the injuries were just too much to overcome.
I'm pleased about this. I've made no bones about the fact that I have serious reservations about Griffin, for multiple reasons. I still have those reservations, and I still have questions.
BUT. Ferry has a good reputation, he's very desirable around the league, and there are lots of jobs open right now. He didn't have to choose us. Knowing that he did tells us that the ownership IS committing to all of the things they've told us about investing more heavily in the team, and giving it all the support they give the Saints. Griffin doesn't take this job unless he gets the control he wants, the funds he wants, the freedom he wants. And it also tells us the team isn't content to just stand pat: they want to take a new direction.
As I said, I still have reservations, but all my doubts about the team being complacent, lazy, and just running things back have vanished.
Great move.
