I thought I read he was working out for the Hawks on Thursday and then going to Vegas for the long anticipated meeting with the Pelicans.

I think he'll be in Vegas sometime tomorrow.

Not likely, but I'd still like him signed for some irrational reason. All the hoopla is just ridiculous though.
You would think if we are talking purely money, then Oden would go to Atlanta.
They can afford to give him the most financially.

It was always the Pelicans, Spurs, Kings, Mavs and Heat……not the Hawks.

I agree if it was just money then yes but I think it will be a combination of money/surrounding talent/willingness to be patient with him.
I think we have a good chance honestly. We will be competitive for longer than the heat they have maybe 2 more years tops left of riding the south beach trio. We have a great medical staff. We can also offer him a decent amount of money; more than the heat and spurs at least.
Atlanta is too far away from being deep playoff contender in my opinion . They need Schroeder and fro-guera to pan out.

On a side note, Goose looks to be available. Loved that guy in 11-12. Very high BBIQ player, would be a tremendous rotation C. If I'm being honest with myself, I would like that nearly as much as Oden.

SIGN GOOSE!!!!! honestly I think greg stiemsma was a terrible signing, im happy we have him and yes hes a serviceable big man for 10-15 minutes a game but we overpaid and i feel like there is and will be better options available. 2.7 million for a guy who will probably be behind Jeff Withey? idk.........
