Nice job by Lopez recognizing the height mismatch and coming through with the block.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Until we get more scorers, this is how the Hornets will win games. Play solid defense, limit turnovers.

It's awesome to me me how Ryno just turns into a post player when he needs too and plays well still.

Great team work there by Rivers, JSmith, and Miller.

The thing that gives me the most confidence in Rivers' development: his energy and effort. His shot will come as he adjusts to the speed and physicality of the NBA, but his effort is top drawer. Combine that with Monty's coaching ability and great things will come. I'm disappointed about Gordon, and upset that there is no Anthony Davis for right now; but this team is worth watching whether they win or lose. I think the New Orleans public will soon understand and embrace them.

This team may not have a star on the floor right now, but they have a lot of integral (re: "glue guys") pieces for a winning and championship challenging team out there. This is a wonderful time to be a Hornets fan!

So what is Lopez' nickname to be?

3 games into the season, 3 nail bitters. This team will know how to grind and that is what wins playoffs games.

Fo' real. I think Wesley will grow into this. But Meyers could call the game by himself, really.

I couldn't watch the first 2 games so I listened on the radio: John DeShazier is very very good as a color commentator, IMO. Timely, observant, elucidating, and ... colorful. David Wesley isn't that good, but I've heard much worse.
