I think most expected this. This can really be seen as a domino that will impact whether they can/want to retain Iggy and/or Wilson Chandler.

A look at their salary situation for next year, assuming the Lawson deal is structured at $10.5, $11.5, $12.5, $13.5:

    Player 2013/14
    Andre Iguodala (player option) $15,904,750
    JaVale McGee $10,750,000
    Ty Lawson $10,500,000
    Danilo Gallinari $10,146,925
    Wilson Chandler $6,344,164
    Andre Miller $5,000,000
    Kosta Koufos $3,000,000
    Anthony Randolph $1,750,000
    Kenneth Faried $1,442,880
    Evan Fournier $1,422,720
    Jordan Hamilton $1,234,320

    Total $67,495,759

This seems awfully prohibitive to keep both Iggy and Chandler.

If all Lawson takes is 48 million, how is Jrue Holiday asking for a max contract?

I'd like Chandler a lot. Would take him over Galanari TBH.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

It really doesn't seem that bad if they're contenders. Taxline is at $70 and the "hard cap" where you're pretty much locked into your roster is at $74.5 million. Give Iggy a $2 million raise and fill out the roster with scrubs and you're still under the tax or not paying much tax. Add an MLE to the mix and you're still under the hard cap.

If we go after a PG now, I'd go all in for Curry (if he stays healthy this season).

If we put Rivers at the 1 next season, Jefferson, Milsap, Iggy, or Pek are the way to go.

    The list grows smaller :/

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
