I understand X, but AFA? Didnt we just name him the starter for Wed?
They said that they could re-sign both players. Perhaps, it's for the cap space. Their options would have amounted to $6.9M combined.
I'm glad. Aminu isn't going ever be much better than he currently is. Time to move on.
Don't be surprised if either of those guys are included in a trade sometime this year.
This just means they become free agents after the season, right? So Aminu and X are still on the team?
"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
X was a no brainer. Surprised we would not pick up option on AFA though.
If no one wants them, then we can get them for less or use the money elsewhere. Flexibility if you aren't worried about losing them.
Given that Dell said we'll make a piece next summer, and AFA would then not be on the team next summer, doesn't that say they will be looking for a SF?

As stated earlier, we didn't pick up Jason Smith's option and still re-signed him to a three year deal.
Perhaps, we have a plan in place. Demps is always working on something.
