It would be nice to have some sort of rule in place for the teams who is losing a player to free-agency. Like the ability to max or something so it's easier for that team to keep there player. I'm not only saying this because I will be in that situation next season, just so things can be equal and realistic. Maybe a rule or something dealing with that player loyalty or greed?
You can't really control what the player does; the game controls that. See Tim Hardaway getting max and still leaving for less money to play for the Knicks
Yeah, pretty much you have Bird Rights. Only "problem" is that you can't control loyalty. You could throw 7 year max and the other guy can throw a 6 year max and he could still bolt for the 6-year team. Just the nature of the game!
I also think you have to realize that those ratings like loyalty are so black and white, just because a guy has a 100 loyalty doesn't mean he'll automatically stay with you.
Exactly. Who the hell knows what logic really drives resigning with a team. lol
Personally, I've been through probably 10 or so seasons of this game and I've never put any stock into those three numbers.
"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"
