New team colors
Just a little talk around the northshore. My sister works at a clothing store in covington and she said one of the Hornets coaches came in and they were talking and he said that Bensons wife is pushing for the new colors to be black, gold and a dark red. What team bane does this lead you to believe could be the new name? Voodoo?

It was mentioned that Benson wanted the colors to be those. So I'll give you the benefit of a doubt. There's at least one Pelicans concept with those colors. Nothing else is known.

I kind of like the idea of just NOLA. Like on the Mardi Gras Uniforms. No mascot per se, they can some poor schmuck in a nutria costume and call it good. if we mush be the New Orleans ...something; I like some of these names (many or all, may have been posted before):
Deluge (aka Flood), Nocturnals, Bohemians, Marquis, Aristocrats, Merauders, Flambeau

I don't know if I've seen this suggestion yet but how about the New Orleans Drillers. This area big into oil and gas exploration similar to the old Houston Oilers. Hopefully Ryan Anderson will be drilling 3s for us this year.

Yes, at this point you can safely assume there isn't going to be some 11th hour rebrand. If it was going to happen it would have been the Voodoo with a quick turnaround time since the logo exists. I think there was probably an effort to negotiate for that but since it apparently fell through they aren't in a major rush.
