Joel Meyers (play by play); former Hornets guard David Wesley (color analyst)
SIGN ME UP!!!Meyers, a two-time Emmy winner, brings more than 20 years of broadcast experience to the organization, most recently serving as television play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2005-2011 which followed two years on the club’s radio broadcast.

Joel Meyers did Rowing on NBC's Olympics coverage for several Olympics'. He has an unmistakable voice.
As far as Jennifer Hale, Benson is very high on her. He got her the gig doing sideline for Fox's NFL coverage.
Meyers seems really solid. But Wesley has never done this kind of work as far as I can tell.
But like Bob and Gil, Meyers was hired by the Lakers right? Not the station. Bob and Gil are mostly gone because we have a new owner, not really because we're changing networks. Am I wrong in this assessment? Chances are if the NBA or Shinn still owned the Hornets, Bob and Gil would still be employed here whether we changed networks or not.
Ahhh, I almost forgot about Wesley. Hopefully he can tell us what the players are saying on the court, and on the bench with those infamous satellites of his.
I'm not too concerned about Wesley. I notice a lot of networks like to have an Ex-player of the team doing color commentary. I'm going to assume Wesley will provide firsthand insights only he can provide due to his game/lockroom experience and basketball knowledge. He'll be carried by Meyers until he can get the hang of things. Wesley is an articulate guy who is a pretty bright guy. Before he landed this role, he was an assistant in the D-league.
Hey, RaisingBrow>>I played basketball against Eric when he weighed about 165 lbs ! That was a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Time Ago !
