Looks like Mr. Demps and Monty worked their magic in their meeting with EJ.
Good to have him back. Hopefully he learned to watch what he says in front of the camera.
Go after Stiemsma and I will be fine with the entire roster.
Centers - Smith, Stiemsma, Davis
Power Forwards - Davis, Anderson, Smith, Thomas
Small Forwards - Aminu, Miller, Henry, Davis
Shooting Guards - Gordon, Henry, Rivers
Point Guards - Vasquez, Rivers, Dyson
This isn't a depth chart. Just a roster.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
im soooooooo lost.

For those who want the latest numbers: Hornets have a little over 5 million in cap space plus they can use the "room MLE" which is 2.575 mil

so does this technically mean we have 7.5mil?
``There is always a business element to the NBA when dealing with contracts, but I never lost my appreciation for the New Orleans Hornets,'' Gordon said. ``I look forward to going on the court this season to make our team successful.''
Well everything I have read makes me think that we had 3 days to match the offer but that does not mean we immediately need to get him to sign that contract. Shouldnt that give us time to find players to sign and utilize our cap room before we actually get Gordon to sign his contract? OR is us matching the offer automatically count the contract against our cap before he literally signs the contract?
a "business element" huh?Doug Mouton@DMoutonWWL
Eric Gordon: "There is always a business element to the NBA when dealing with contracts but I never lost my appreciation for the NOLA fans."
Once he signed the contract in phoenix, he is under contract. Since he is a RFA, the only possible outcomes once he signs the contract with phoenix is to A. Match or B. Let Phoenix have him.
So to answer your question, once we officially match, it counts against the cap.
I think we can wait on signing Davis & Rivers to make moves. Rookie exception signing 1st rounders allows you to go over the cap I think, that should allow us to go 7-8 million over the cap.
