Celts were mostly Ireland, touch of Scotland. When they moved to Scotland, they were mostly Catholic, that's why Glasgow Celtic is the Catholic team in Glasgow, and Rangers are no more.

Boston had a very heavy Irish Catholic influence in the 1900's, and thus the Celtics were born.

All of this is fluff, Dukes is the best name. Covers it all.

Celtics were much more broad than that. The Irish ones get the press.

All you are saying is correct . . . I'm just saying that most of them have some sorts of confusion. The `Boston Celtic' thing is really a superposition of elements of many cultures.

Nothing else outside of Jazz, Mardi Gras, Crescent City, Big Easy, Saints and VooDoo screams NOLA.

Besides, I didn't have to write an essay like you did.

How much of it can you see from a 300 sq. ft. apartment in the Warehouse District?

I think that the name shouldn't just scream NOLA, it needs to be broad enough to appeal to all of Louisiana and the Gulf South. I'm not sure what that would be, but people in Jackson, MS, Monroe, La and Pensecola FLA need to identify with it in order for this team to succeed in such a small metropolitan market.

It's 800 sq feet thank you. And I can walk to the dome, arena, quarter, convention center, both streetcar lines - all within 8 blocks - or since I live off tchoup catch a cab going uptown at just about any time. So I think I'm pretty well rounded on knowing what sceams nola and what doesn't.

I mean, I could've dumbed it down into bullet points for you.

So... if the Lakers or Celtics moved here, they'd fail?

No, they won't move here, but the implication holds...

This is likely true. I mean the Benson's need ample time to consider all of my suggestions....

I probably wouldn't have read it anyway just like i didn't read the essay.

The name doesn't have to scream NOLA to be effective. I mean you did suggest Royals.

No need. This isn't Sr.com or 247 or Tiger Droppings or wherever you floated in from... not yet... at least.
