I bet we open up with the Thunder on the road.
Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams
Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
Being realistic, it's not like we are going to compete. I'm sure ESPN will want to have uni brow on tv a couple times, but I doubt they open with it either.
Both Greg oden and Blake Griffin made their debuts on national television. I'm sure Davis will too.
I was just going to post this...
My guess is either Hornets at Clippers, Clippers at Hornets, or Hornets at Warriors or Kings.
I think it will be Davis vs Robinson first game of the season
I want Clips at home on ESPN on Halloween night.
I they are going to put us on opening night, it would only make sense for it to be at home.
The NBA loves to stick to their big market stereotypes for opening night games. I mean, look at the Christmas games from this previous season. I think it was like Heat, Clips, Bulls, Knicks, Lakers, etc. All mega teams.
I hope we verse clips or an easy team so Anthony Davis doesn't have a terrible debut against someone like Howards :3
Not Hornets related but...

NBA announces Celtics will play October preseason games in Istanbul & Milan, and Mavs to do same in Berlin & Spain.
Hornets v. Clippers has a great shot. Keeps up with the trend of rookie phenoms debuting on national TV, budding rivalry (Smith-Griffin incident, Reggie Evans flop), CP3/Gordon vs. old teams, two most electric athletes in the game squaring off in Davis & Griffin...plenty of storylines there for ESPN/TNT to play up.
Home or road would be up for good debate. At NOLA would obviously be the more electric atmosphere, but at LA would please that west coast 10:00/10:30 Eastern time slot, so either way would have its advantage for the networks.

Gordon would score 60 on the Clippers on a season opening national tv game, I mean that's if he's healthy

ESPN: #NewOrleansHornets and #OrlandoMagic will play preseason game in Mexico City. @greivisvasquez and @Gustavo_Ayon15 will be en la casa.
I think greivis would have preferred a game in caracas uh
Hornets v Suns in Phoenix
