Ariza+#10 for Gay
Gay is unhappy in Memphis and asked for a trade, only problem being Ariza+#10 might not be enough, possibly add a future 2nd?

Gay isn't very popular here, but I'd do it
Sorry.

I like Rudy, I'd do it.
too Expensive. kills our flexibility.
Too expensive guys. Too expensive. We have a young and upcoming team. The last thing we need to do is fill it with large contracts for overpaid players. Patience.
"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."
What about Jack to the Bulls for their late first round pick?
Never really been a fan of him.. if we are going to build through the draft i'd like to take Wroten or Machado. No disrespect to JJ's game I'm just not a fan of him. Also wouldn't mind signing Omer Asik too.
Gay isn't worth his contract. Further, he isn't that great of a defender.
I'd rather draft Rivers at 10 and let Ariza / Aminu hold the wings. If Aminu isn't good enough to be a Shane Battier-type defender who can make the open three, then address SF in a future draft or with the signing of a young vet.
Gordon is good enough on his own to be the main scoring threat on our team.
Rudy Gay 2012 - $15,032,144 2013 - $16,460,532 2014 - $17,888,932 2015 - $19,317,326
NO F*%$#*^ way to Rudy Gay!!
I'd rather Jefferson and the 7th pick for Ariza and the 10th then this trade.
Both are bad IMO.

Gay is only 25....in my books that's young
And how do you afford Gordon, Davis, the 10th pick and Gay all under the cap come 2014?
He's just not worth it!
you don't have the 10th pick? and it's called a contract....
Gay is owed 17.8M in 2014 and 19M in 2015
Gordon may fetch 14M per year
Davis will be coming off his rookie contract and you wanna tie up 33M in two players?
Not to mention other role players who we have dirt cheap will need to be re-signed!.
We are building a young team through the draft not doing a Miami cHeat.
can we stop with the panic of signing someone to become immediately better? lets draft Davis and resign Gordon, and roll with that next season. after Davis shows what he can do with an injury free gordon, then every free agent will want to play with those two. we wont need to settle with an overpaid Gay
who in the world would want that contract???????
I outlined how Miami "cheated" in the finals thread. But it wasnt Miami that cheated because every franchise would accept that outcome including us. The angst is aimed towards LBJ.
"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

I like the idea. But I agree, contracts are a worry in the future.
This is off a celtics forum.
Brandon Bass(s&t), Greg Stiemsma (s&t) 21st & 22nd to NOH
Josh Smith to BOS
Trevor Ariza, Etwaun Moore and 10 to ATL
Not new thread worthy. But I'm curious what yall think.
