    Hornets Report sim league

Alright I was just told that there should not be an issue getting the sim league its own forum on HR. So here is the deal, I am planning on starting the league in the year 2000. We have 29 teams we need to fill, THE LEAGUE WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL ALL 29 TEAMS HAVE A GM. I also need to stress, atleast twice maybe three times a year we will have a "GM Check In." Probably around the All-Star break and at the end of the season, if you fail to check in you will lose your team. This helps insure activity.

I am a part of one sim league currently, and I have seen others. All are very very popular and active, I expect this one to be no different. If you join, please be active. This isn't something that you need to check up on every single day, but please be around atleast a few days a week to keep up to date. You will draft your own team, then take control of them. You will be free to trade any player you wish, as long as it is under the cap rules. You will contend with other GM's to sign players during the offseason in free agency, you will draft new players to your team, and so on. The player[B[/B]s on your team will get better and worse every offseason. Players retire, players get injured, this is very realistic. I will try to sim two weeks of the season every other day, or have two days in between sims so people can set their depth charts. I will probably not post what time I will sim though, so people aren't left sitting around waiting if by some chance something comes up. I will talk some more about the program and how this league will be ran, but for the time being lets get the teams filled.

    Lakers

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Is the sim league hard? Would I be able to juggle this league with a fantasy league?

What do you mean by hard?

I will say it's something you will regret not joining, it's a ton of fun.

How do franchise moves work? Is there actual player attitudes? What year are we in Seattle, Charlotte hornets)?!! Lol

I believe whenever the time comes either the game or I change the franchises. So when the Hornets move they will change.

And yes players have attitudes, but it's by numbers.

    Like for Deron Williams:
    Loyalty: 78
    Greed: 66
    Play For Winner: 52

    and Yao Ming:
    Loyalty: 76
    Greed: 81
    Play For Winner: 59

What I mean by hard is complicated. But is it fantasy draft, or players on there real team? If so should we be interested in a young team or young players?

    No it isn't complicated.

And in this league we will do a fantasy draft. And we will run through whatever year we want.

Interesting. Not sure if this league may be a little too complex for me to handle.

I've got a few questions though. Which CBA do you use? The one that was in place in 2000? Can you trade draft picks in the fantasy draft as well? Is the draft order already set like in the opening post?

Alot of this is just assumptions, but since this isn't the most updated program I'm guessing it's the old one.

No there will not be any trading in the fantasy draft, and the order is not set yet. That will be simmed.

Once the league begins you can trade draft picks though, so if the league starts in 2000 you can trade your picks from 00, 01, and 02.

Ok, thanks for your answers. I'll give it a try. I'd like to join with the Seattle SuperSonics, then.

I'd also like to add that even though this is a very detail oriented player, but it does not take too much time to keep up with it.

So if you won't join because you don't have enough time, that's not really anything to worry about.
