If we lose Cousins, I’d take Howard on a $8-12 million a year contract all day.
Next summer, right? Or did he get bought out or somethin?
Never mind.. I just saw that he's getting a buyout. I'm no fan of his (at this point in his career) but he and AD on that back-end... there would be zero layups. Everything will come from the perimeter on our defense.

Wouldn't want him, but Dell seems to like him.
It would have to be super cheap but I'd be interested.
Howard allows us to placate AD by having him be used as a 4 but transition to the 5 when it matters. Howard can also pair well with Mirotic well.
He can protect the rim and quietly had a year of resurgence last year.
16.6 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 81 games
Not bad.
The problem is that it will have to be a very small contract and we will probably lose out on him to the Warriors like we did with Swaggy P last year.
Nooooo thank you.
RIP FlyGirl
He’d have to come cheap and off the bench. Which both will not happen gracefully with his ego.
I don’t like it... but I don’t hate it, either. I would only make this move if we could work out a S&T for Boogie and/or we make move for LBJ, PG13, or Kawhi. Dwight needs a big time support system (or more likely, the spotlight of a big time situation) to be effective. We don’t have that.

Seconded.
By all accounts we seem to have one of those special locker rooms that come along very rarely for a team. The last time I saw camaraderie like this on a New Orleans basketball team was the CP3/DWest/Peja/Chandler playoffs run team, and CP3 has said as much in recent interviews.
Dwight Howard is locker room cancer. Got SVG fired in Orlando despite being a championship caliber team. Kobe couldn't stand him in LA, Couldn't cut it Houston, Atlanta ended up having locker room trouble with him, Charlotte supposedly wanted him gone for the same reason.
Dwight Howard is the ACTUAL locker room cancer that people always claimed Cousins would be. No thanks.

Is that the largest contract in history to be bought out?
Plan A : Resigning Boogie
Plan B : Signing Monroe for 10-12M
Howard is only next and I hope the team will not have to commit money to him.
I dont wanna Howard around this team.
Even for minimum.
Also dont wanna Monroe. He showed us middle finger in February.
I would rather stay with Oka
No to Monroe, watching him in Boston, he won't fit here and looks way out of shape.
DH wouldn't be a bad backup plan at the right price if we can get a SF.
Dell is going to get pushed into DC long term
So maybe Dwight will sign on the cheap to play with AD, Jrue, Rondo and we sign and trade Cousins + Hill for Otto Porter and Mahinmi?
Howard / Diallo
AD / Mirotic
Porter / Miller
Jrue / Moore
Rondo / Jackson? / Clark
Ugh. Not a fan of him anymore. Hell, why not go after Hassan Whiteside? Or DeAndre Jordan for that matter? I mean, besides how the salaries would work.
If cousins don't resign,,,I'll take Howard to ease AD mind of playing the 5.....rondo would do wonders with Howard and AD on offense..rebounds will be high..Howard and AD on defense lol smdh at the rim protection......AD can actually go out and guard away from the basket knowing Howard is back there.....jrue,,Howard,,AD, on defense lawd.......hell some of you can get a lineup of, rondo, jrue, AD, Niko, Howard and make teams match up with that......
And remember, some of you who don't want Howard also didn't want rondo on this team but look how he turned out....
