Just curious if anyone out there who is smarter than me has figured out what needs to happen for us to finish as the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or god forbid finish 9th. I assume we just win out and everyone else loses is the best scenario.

42 @ BSS has been providing a great running commentary on it. Article below has links to all the earlier pieces too. Fair bit of info in there.

It's more that we would play close nail biters with everyone. We ended up winning.....but the heart attack element was there.
Love me some 42.
BI, Zion, and CJ had a net rating of +3 when on the court together. BI and Zion had a +13.4, BI and CJ had a +13.2, Zion and CJ was just +5.4.
BI and Zion worked. BI and CJ worked. It was CJ and Zion and all three together that didn't work.
so we are pulling for Utah to win?
Doesnt matter. If we win, we play Portland! If Utah wins, Utah is 3 & OKC is sixth. If Portland wins Utah is #5 & OKC is #4. So the Portland-Utah is UTAH fighting for home court. Its either Utah #3 vs OKC #6 or Utah #5 vs OKC #4. We play Portland, either way. Either 4 vs 5 or 3vs 6. Thats ASSUMING OKC beats Memphis at OKC tonite?
If you think long term
4vs5 = HOU in the 2nd round
3vs6 = GSW in the 2nd round
I'd rather play Golden State and hope that Curry is less than 100%.
So in that scenario, i'd rather Portland win tonight - we are 6th - beat Portland series- then try to take a game or two from GSW.
We play Houston in the 2nd and it'll be 4 and out.
Put me in the camp that wants to stay the hell away from Utah.
I don’t want no part of either Gobert or Dwayne Wade 2.0.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.
We had quite a few interesting conversations as we pondered and navigated the nightly canopy.
I think we take a couple of games from Houston if we play them.
And at some point they will collapse and the injuries will happen. We know who they are.
Funny how no one wants to start this game day thread.
It doesn't matter who wins the Jazz/Blazers game. We will play Portland regardless.
And with the Thunder defeating the Grizzlies, we will play the Pelicans in the first round in either the three/six or four/five matchup starting at the Moda Center
