Ryno with that special man shuffle
. |
That's awesome!
They should do a Morgus the Magnificent tribute.
Bwahahahahaha ryno nailed his part with the shuffle. Lmao..it's been so dam long since I've seen this commercial. To Be honest when I was a kid. I thought nothing of the commercial. I was so used to seeing it. I mean we would imitate it mock it sometimes but just playing around. Just cause it was on so much. I've never fully realized how hilarious and hood that commercial that is. "I'm on social security and welfare" bwahahahahaha that ish is a N.O. Classic...Ya heard me!
Oh dam u done went there? Hahaha I bring it up all the time when me and other People (not from n.o.) talking about shows from back in the day when we was younger, I always rep that Morgus the magnificent and the true G Chopsley. Lol..dam man the good ole days I tell ya. Time flys man. Where'd it go? I was just 17-18 yrs old. Smh
Genius! I hope they play that at the SKC 2 or 3 times a game.,,,,
After this commercial my wife (who's not a basketball fan) is finally interested in going to support the Pelicans. She said, "she got the $24."
btw, it'll be awesome for this commercial to play during the Super Bowl.
I Tweeted it to Trey Kerby. He favorited.
Maybe it will get on The Starters and get national attention.
So good.
Is it bad that I've never seen the original commercial before today?
Could AD have accidentally fallen into his nickname ? Let em have it !
Man you have to truly be from New Orleans to appreciate this...

Man...they nail it. Awesome!
A football game can't stop hurricanes.
It can't fix levees.
Or rebuild houses.
But it can let a city know...
That it's a city once again.
Welcome back, New Orleans.
I was floored when I first saw this. So proud of them and the effort to connect to the City. Like Chris Trew said in his BSS piece posted today, we have to capitalize on this. Anthony Davis, aka The Brow, aka The Special Man! Let em' have it! Its all so fitting.
I watched the Pelicans version first, then the original. Should've done it the other way around. The original reminds me of a Shreveport commercial for a pawn shop called Bobby's Jewelry. So bad it's hilarious. Our guys did a great job with this. All three of em were spot on!
