I did a mockup with the grey color.

Jesus, that looks depressing...yet sounds delicious.
I think I prefer the white. The grey just looks like an extension of the concrete on the streets and sidewalks. Completely boring and generic.
The white stands out without looking like it doesn't fit in with the rest of New Orleans the way the ugly teal did.

I agree. Give me the white color so it doesn't just look like concrete sidewalk.
How white is the white color? Is it like paper white? Or is it a darker white?
It is a grayish white that looked pretty good a dusk but the contrast with the roof is a little off.
Yeah a little lighter in color to the roof.
They'd have to clean the white tiles fairly regularly, I'd imagine. The roof of the Superdome gets pretty mucky after a year. Not a deal breaker by any means, but still something you wouldn't have to do as often with the grey.

I think the dome roof is from mold if I remember correctly. Could be mistaken.
I think you're right. Growing up I lived in a house painted white on the outside. We'd regularly have to pressure wash the sides of the house because of mold to avoid a greenish tint. It was standard housing siding. I'm not sure how that compares to the panels on the arena.
I don't mind that grey at all.
Anything is better than the cafeteria covered aqua or whatever we have now.
The colors they are looking at are all bad choices. If they are married to the palette they are currently looking at, then they should really go with the darker charcoal color. The white would be the absolute worst choice as it would look poor next to the Dome, look horrendous with the aluminum arena roof, and hold up terribly (see: Dome roof or any other white building in New Orleans). What they really should be looking at is a medium-dark blue-grey color:
