I really wish Babbitt could have played in SL. I mean, if he can defend SF's, even just backup ones, he can be a nice option. Who would hate this 2nd unit:
Rivers
Reke
Babbitt
Anderson
Ajinca
Shooters around Reke and solid enough rebounding. Defense at the 3 and 4 aren't great, but they are defending backups and the other team can have a few 2's while we are draining 3's.
If the Sacramento Kings can crowdsource the NBA Draft...

...............why can't WE crowdsource our Small Forward position?!
Problem.Solved.
I don't know how much better Smith's mid-range game is than Ajinca's, but I do know Ajinca doesn't pull the trigger nearly as much. If my 2nd unit has Tyreke and Ryno on it, I want THEM shooting, not somebody else hoisting up 18-20 footers.
I like Smith's intangibles, but I am ready to move on with Ajinca, Young, Babbitt, and maybe Withey behind our 3 great bigs
I can't think of a better bench duo than Reke/Ryno. If Rivers makes the same jump this year as he did from rookie to sophomore, then it should be one of the best benches in the NBA.
A bit off topic, but Denver's bench looks absolutely loaded. Either Gallo or Chandler, McGee, Hickson, and Foye. They always seem to have one of the deepest teams in the NBA every year.
I liked John Salmons a few years ago.
Not sure I like him today.
is it possible for Darius Miller to come back for league minimum or nah? It's not looking good at our 3 spot at all. smh
