It means something. Just last season he was being sold as the star of the team. Now he is not even mentioned as a key player. It may not mean a trade is imminent, but it seems to indicate a falling out of favor (to put it mildly).

Fair enough. Hes earned some hate, but ppl definately go overboard. Can we please stop posting threads Gordon related unless its actual trade talks? We were doing so well.

I agree. If you talk to Gordon one-on-one, he really is pretty good (no pun intended) with the fans. Quiet, but appreciative and willing to hold a conversation. Once the media gets involved, that's when the problems start

And this may have been mentioned, but we're freaking out about Gordon not being mentioned, what about Rivers? Monty has consistently praised him as being part of the Pelican future, yet no mention here.

I'm not reading anything into this. No real reason to.

Reading too much into it. They listed Vasques despite that the team just worked out not one, but two PGs. They just listed players most fans around here know and also happen to like. Just to put Gordon's name there right now would put some fans off. PR knows this. Gordon right now is just not PR friendly. Has less to do with his spot on the team.

Lol he is a media disaster. Its strange because hes so quiet, and the only trash talk about the organization was during the contract situation. People forget Batum pulled the same stunt, but because he stayed healthy no one cared. Gordon even tried to engage fans on twitter, but they trolled him so hard he just gave up lol.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Gordon hasn't had
his 'season review' on the Pelicans website yet.
Every other player has even Aminu and Mason but no
Gordon. I find that odd and I'm interested to see what they say.

Burke brought Rivers up last week,

I have options, Austin (Rivers) playing along side me as well as Greivis (Vasquez). Those are guys that I would love to play with.’’

On first take, You won't see Gordon do this,

Well things were going well until McNamara cried that Gordon did not get invited. Correction "mentioned"

Invited where? There was nothing about an invitation.

Meant draft party, you get the picture. I'm sure some Pel players will be there?

Gordon sort of reminds me of Ricky Williams.

The team doesn't view Vasquez as a starting PG.

That doesn't mean they don't view him in a 6th man and Manu-type roll filling in at multiple positions off the bench.

The press release wasn't stating which player would be at a draft party. It was stating which players our rookie would be joining on the court this season.

This thread has nothing to do with the lack of an invitation to the draft party. It has to do with the team not even mentioning Gordon in the press release when touting the players that the #6 pick will join on the team.

    It has been corrected

I hope this is the first sign the Pels are moving in a different direction. Granger or PHX deals I hope are in works.

Well I somewhat hope we have blockbuster type deal on draft day! We get Arron Afflalo, Moe Harkless, and the #2 pick for Eric Gordon. We take Alex Len and Trey Burke with the #2 and #6 pick. Cut Lopez and sign Andre Iguodala! I can dream can't I! LOL! End up with this team:

    C: Len, Smith
    PF: Davis, Anderson
    SF: Iguodala, Harkless, Miller
    SG: Afflalo, Rivers
    PG: Burke, Vasquez, Roberts

Is Houston interested in Gordon by any chance? They do have players they could offer?

  18. #118
Well we could send them Lopez too! I'd rather keep Vasquez if possible! lol

Well the only problem with that, is their best player is a shooting guard in James Harden.

I have not heard that the team will trade Vasquez or Lopez for that matter.

Thats not my point. The point is that they just listed players that are good PR. Whether that player is a starter or how much salary they make is irrelevant. GV is a popular name for this team for the fans and thus they listed his and left Gordon's off.

Did you hear that we would Jack, Ariza, and Okafor?

Truth be told Gordon defended the name the same way. Something along the lines that it represents Louisiana so fans can get behind it.

If that's true, I am more surprised they didn't mention Jason Smith. The ladies love Jason Smith.
