Thread: I know you love Anthony Davis but....

  1. #26
I don't really care for Funyuns like that.

Considering Davis would improve their team immensely, why in the world would anyone think those picks would be worthwhile? The biggest need for Charlotte is in the front court. You'd think Walker, Henderson, MKG, Davis, and Biyombo would make them competitive for the 8th playoffs spot.

  3. #28
Especially in the East. They could make it with a losing record.

You just don't trade players like this unless you think there are character or durability concerns.

Not a chance. You collect lottery picks in the hope that you win one and land a prospect like Davis.

In the NFL, yeah, I do a deal like that in a heartbeat. Not so much in the NBA.

Fair response. You do it easily for any non-superstar prospect. If you don't think Davis' upside is there then you flip him. We just disagree on his upside.

Wow, Y'all really do want to trade A.D. I remember when San Antonio fans were saying the same thing one year after drafting Duncan. I think Davis will be an all-star very soon.

If porter blows his knee, higgins becomes a coke addict (as in cocaine) and we draft the next julian wright? I'd rather keep a sure thing than hope to draft the next jordan or what. Shabazz should have put the world on fire this past year and yet? He's just the last of a long line of potential busts (some without the "potential" part).

Exactly what I was thinking Remember how people said Noel would be better than Davis last year? LOL

I wouldn't trade him for anything. He has the potential to be the most dominant player in the game at some point in his career, and you just don't trade that.

Man no. Davis is the franchise, he is our rebuild, trading him so we can hope Charlotte sucks and we can rebuild through that is ludicrous.

Thank you Nolaslim and Mr. West for putting some sanity back in to this thread.

not to mention 4 more 1st round draft picks over the next 2 years.
What if another team offers you something similar again next year? Is this team to play the role of the crack addict franchise always chasing the lottery pick high? When does it end?

7th best player in that draft, amirite folks??

  14. #39
I would only if we were guaranteed Andrew Wiggins next year and Ben McLemore this year

Never. I wouldn't trade AD for anything other than Lebron. In five years I expect Davis to be a top 5 player in this league.

I pointed that out already in post #4. Guess people are really bored. There is only one person that would trade A.D.

I think you're a bit unfair to the guy. Every penny pinching deal he made was made by this man. The picture of the guy you posted was an employee who carried out the order.

With no real scouting department, what did you expect? the Hornets generally went with BPA via the media's board.
