Dario Saric to Mavs?

@Eurohopes: According to sources Dallas Mavericks (#13) are as high on Dario Saric as any team in NBA. GM Donnie Nelson was in Croatia last week.

Sound like the mavs might keep their pick, does that mean they won't go after DH12 or not? What do you think.

If he's there, they could convince him to go back to Europe next year thus allowing them to pursue Dwight Howard. If they miss out on Howard, they sign him and bring him to the states this year. Best of both worlds for them. Saric could easily be there at 13. He's a hot name on this board but people are all over the map on him. Could go 5th or 20th and it wouldn't surprise me.

They're trying to use 13 to get someone to take back Marion's salary. Saric staying in Europe doesn't give them the space to sign Howard.

The max allowable as far as cash compensation is $3 million. However, a team can take on one or more of Dallas' contracts to make it more enticing to the Mavs.
