I see that now. I still think I'd take Burke higher based on his big game experience though.

I would make a play for Jameer Nelson if he is available. Pass on MCW and those other pg's and take a big. Let Jameer and GV battle it out, and stay in great position financially with a solid set of pg's.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Sure you do. You should have solid reasoning on why you think a certain way if you're throwing your opinion out there.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

Just as you should if your opinion is not unique

But a good long term plan? I don't think so.
    Wherehappens.

    Agree'd. Groupthink is not reasoning.

Good long term plan? No. Were we going anywhere next year? Nope. MCW isn't going to take you anywhere, if Smart had come out, and McCullum wasn't hurt, MCW wouldn't be but the 4th best option at the pg spot. Take a chance on Jameer and let he and GV battle it out, let Rivers and Gordon battle it out (if you consider two retards trying to screw a doorknob a battle), and let Lopez and Len battle it out. It solves the problem of what to do with Lopez and GV (keeping them and giving them competition to prove last season wasnt some one in a lifetime stuff).

I'll be the first to admit, I've not seen all the mocks out there, but in the majority of the ones I've found; Burke is the first guard off the board, with McCollum and MCW alternating on who the second guard off the board is. One had Dennis Schroder (sic) go before Carter-Williams and after CJM but all had Burke the first PG gone.

What I'm saying is that Davis was looked at as a franchise-changer and was clearly the #1 overall player. Burke is the first PG off the board in practically every mock, but I have seen big boards (as noted in a previous comment) with MCW ahead of Burke.

Nelson and Burke probably split time in Burke's rookie year like DJ and Kemba did in Kemba's rookie season.

Would anyone consider Harkless and Nelson for Gordon? That looks like a win win if they really want Burke.

If that happened you have to get McLemore or Oladipo. Probably too young for Montys liking but I like a lot.

    Rivers, Nelson
    McLemore/Olidipo, Miller
    Harkless, Aminu, Miller
    Davis, Ryno
Smith, Lopez (still like an upgrade here)

I wouldn't because I'm not high on Nelson. Isn't he signed to a long deal? Plus, he's old. And where's Vazquez?

It clearly wasn't a direct comparison dude.

I'd probably ask for more I like the trade. Nelson has 2 years left at 8 mil a year and maybe we throw in Vasquez and they give us a conditional pick.

Wow. I'm watching video on this kid Schroeder, and he could be the real deal in a few years. He is raw but has all the tools.

That being said, I would be surprised if Burke was not a top 10 NBA PG in 2 or 3 seasons. He has intangibles and leadership, is a great distributor and scorer, and is a solid enough athlete to be successful. (he's nowhere near as bad as Vasquez athletically).

McCullom screams 6th man/tweener to me, like a future Jason Terry maybe. I like the kid, but don't know if he's a starting NBA PG.

MCW can't score and isn't consistently a great decision maker on offense. He will be a great defensive PG, and could be a phenomenal role player, but his offensive game is extremely raw and will take lots of time.

I was talking about justifying his right to having a unique opinion. He has on many occasions explained why he doesn't Burke as a prospect.
