Maybe (just throwing it out there) it winds up being this...

    Pelicans Trade: Eric Gordon
Celtics Trade: Paul Pierce, Avery Bradley
Clippers Trade: Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan

    Pelicans Recieve: Bradley and Bledsoe
    Celtics Recieve: Gordon and Jordan
    Clippers Recieve: Pierce

Celtics taking on way too much salary. Have to throw some other people in.
We want more! We want more!

Id do it just to get rid of Gordon but
I cant see Boston doing this at all.

We would need to take Grant Hills salary
    for this to work.
    He will retire anyway.

Actually according to nba trade machine it works if we take
on Hills salary. It's the Clippers who are over.

Id take Hill at SF next season with Aminu and Miller
to learn a few things. Then he would retire and we can
draft our SF of the future in 2014.

Celtics would need to throw some more pieces in I think the clippers close.

I'm not so sure.. Pierce may not be the youngest cat in the world, but he's still averaging over 18 points a game, and hasn't averaged under 18 since his rookie year. He's still playing at a very productive level. For the Clippers, getting Pierce appeases CP3 (which is priority #1 for them this off-season) and makes them an even more legitimate threat in the Western Conference. They're also giving up a good, young defensive player in Bradley.

The main reason I could see Boston doing this is: they get younger and fill the void they've missed since trading Perkins. While Gordon has faced injury issues the last two seasons, his productivity when healthy is a boost to Boston.

No it's not about the players it's the money. I don't think the salaries of pierce and Bradley match the salaries of Jordan and Gordon. They would have to add something to make it work. Could be wrong if Pierce making over 20 million.

It does work but I can't see it happening.

Not sure why the trade machine is approving this trade because its against the rules of the CBA. The Celtics receive about 7 million to much in salary, they'd have to send out that much (or close to it) for this trade to be approved. If a team is over the salary cap, they can't receive more than 125% of he salary then send out, and in your trade the Celtics receive around 10 million in salary more than they send out, so it can't happen.

I don't think we'll trade for both Bradley & Bledsoe
