Team USA Anderson, Davis expected to participate in Team USA's mini camp in July

New Orleans Pelicans forwards Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson are expected to participate in the Team USA's mini camp scheduled for July 22-25 in Las Vegas, two league sources confirmed Thursday.

Davis, the No. 1 overall pick last year, played on Team USA that won a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games. Anderson has never played for Team USA, but he could earn a spot because of his perimeter shooting ability.

3 days to get injured, 3 days away from working on their individual games.

This stuff is better then them sitting in a gym working on their J.

"I don't know if people know — I dislocated my pinkie finger. And [Tyreke] told me, 'You wanna go home or you wanna be here?' I want to be here. And he said, 'All right, then go tape it up and let's play. Let's go. We not stoppin' at no stores. Straight gas. That's what we do, just keep going.'"

If this was Gordon, I'd be worried.

Since when did it become a bad thing that our players are getting invites to practice with Team USA?

Well they invited him before and he has played in something (world championships?) now they disown him? I'm not mad or nothing just weird.

Congratulations to Anthony Davis and Ryan Anderson on this amazing accomplishment! They're going to get better from this experience.

Davis could easily be the starting Center on that team in 2016.

I think the procedure he just had might of factored in. Also he might want to go into next season fully healthy. Or maybe they might go with someone such as curry as a 2 guard to go along with harden.

Really cool to see multiple Pelicans players getting recognized on that stage. Congrats to them
