With 2 sec to go u have your rim protector in the game. Bottom line. Vogel called him the greatest rim protector in the game. Same thing happened right before ot also. Bad coaching on vogels part. George def over played it. Obviously. With hibbert in down by the goal it's a contested shot tho.

Object, Keep Lebron far away from basket. agree with Chuck.

It was bad because George ****ed up. They had an extra man to guard the shooter and it backfired because of Paul's mistake. I give him 50 percent of the blame.

Yes I def agree its a 50/50 blame. I'm just not letting coach off the hook. Especially when he just made the same stupid mistake 5 min before.

I cant believe what transpired... The Pacers were just delaying the inevitable apparently

Not sure why that just hurt me so much. Totally just ruined my mood.

Lets not forget, DX missed 2.65 ft's more than his average. A case could be made he is as guilty as anyone.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Lol...I think Miami only making 64% of their fts can cancel that out.

  12. #1037
Anyways....that is an absolute gut wrenching loss. I wonder if the pacers are hurting as much as me. If so they are doomed. Lol

They pissed away a golden opportunity. Showed a lack of experience. They'll learn, they'll grow.

But they now know that they can bang with the Heat.

Pacers need to play their game. Nice adjustment by Spo, the Heat were able to run in the 2nd half. Pacers had a lot of TO's, a lot.

Not really. If we are going to blame George for this loss, after his amazing game, then West (after his amazing game) is fair game as well.

It took one hell of a game by Miami to win this game, I think that it's going 7.

I picked pacers in 6 to begin with. I'll stick to my guns. This win would of def helped that cause tho. Also, you can't go back into a game n pick it apart on missed points or we could do it to everyone. With all those missed opportunities they were up 1 with 2 sec to go. Vogel messed up by not having the rim protected by his 7 '2 center. George overplayed the ball and let lebron have an easy layup. They both messed up on the last play that cost them game. Simple as that.

Not really. They make some big plays down the stretch, but they did not, by any means, play a great game.

65% from the FT line, 21 turnovers, and a non-existent bench outside Birdman...

    List goes on.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

Indy is 0-5 this postseason when they have 19+ to's and tonight they had 20 to's, Miami had 20 to's as well, but Miami played a great game (Birdman was 7-7, 9 blocks, fewer starters in foul trouble), Pacers gave that one up. Oh well.

KC, you are right, there are 100 little things that led to the Pacers loss, not just the coaching, missed ft's, or bad def. Thise little battles lose you a war.

Come to think of it outside of Hansborough and Birdman neither teams bench did anything. Both coaches played their starters 30+ min. This was a prize fight, and Miami landed the first punch.

Yep I agree. That's why they say. You win as a team. You lose as a team.

Difference being that Miami has a quality bench, Indy doesn't. They always have to rely on their starters playing long, quality minutes. Miami, on the other hand, has a much deeper squad. But it was certainly an entertaining game nevertheless, and Indiana has to feel good about their chances moving forward.

  24. #1049
I personally think it gets worse for the Pacers. Miami took their best punch and won. Also, even though LBJ had a triple dub, I don't think that he played all that well. He settled for jumpers and was in foul trouble. It's going to be hard to beat the Heat 4 out of 6 games. The Heat were awful from 3 and basically had no contribution from the bench. That won't happen again 4 out of 6 games.

I would definitely feel confident if I'm indiana. They didn't play their game and allowed Miami to get them out of their comfort zone offensively, but still scored over 100 points and had a chance. Like Eman said, they know they can beat this team. I'm excited for Game 2
