Honestly I don't. I'm not on the wagon of "he doesn't want to be here". I think he enjoys this team and does want to be here NOW. The whole situation back then wasn't as cut and dry as "I don't wanna b here n my heart is in Phoenix". From the money to the doctors to the diagnosis. There were many factors that played into that and I honestly believe we have cleared all that and are on a clean slate. This kid is only 24 and is finally going to be 100% goin to the off season. We need to see how he does and holds up before we move him. Gordon can be that guy we need to get 20ppg at the sg position. He is a bull on the defensive end as well. Keeping him and him staying healthy benefits us much much more then a trade for another rookie. Like i said I know he hasn't been healthy BUT he was never 100% goin into an off season with us. NEVER. We have to see how it goes.

Yea that's right the date is coming up in June isn't it?? My bad I was thinking it was in the season sometime.

Its not that he doesn't want to be here, I just don't think he would mind phoenix.

In July not long after the draft.

I'm curious as to how strained the relationship between he and Monty may be.

Also, I know we all pretty much have the same top 5-6 guys being drafted 1-6 but it's more than likely not going to go down like that. Some team will "reach" and try to be the "smartest" gm. Lol...either way it all goes. We will have our selection of some very nice pieces available to us at 6. I'm not as down on this draft as some of u guys. I think this draft is much much deeper than last years. Maybe no lillards or Davis. As of yet. This draft could wind up producing 3-5 all stars. You just never know with these kids. Judge it in 3-4 years. As of now? I see this as a very nice draft with many #2 guys which is not a bad thing at all.

Well now that I know he can be traded with no consent. I'm still gonna say there is no way we trade him for the #5 pick by itself. Just no way we do that. Dell and Monty know what they have in Gordon. They also know they finally have this kid 100% healthy. He isn't going no where. IMO. Atleast not until the trade deadline giving him til then to prove his worth.

Yeah I think it's mid July when Gordon's consent would no longer be needed so I would hope if they were to trade him, they would trade him to whichever team gave the Pelicans the best deal. Most figured Gordon wanted Phoenix because his brother was there. His brother is now an Indiana Hoosier.

Trading him for the pick straight up not only gives us back to back picks but gives us oodles of capspace to go all out in the free agency. You would have enough to sign anybody and then some.

Yea I hear ya but we have enough cap space as it stands to do plenty of work. You dont just trade a potential all star and a top 5 sg for sakes of cap space which we already have plenty of. Maybe I'm loyal to a fault to ej but I know one thing. There is nobody in this draft with his ceiling or his potential. There also isn't 1 guy in this draft that will be available with that pick that is projected to even be as good as he currently is. Can someone end up being that good or better?? Yes of course. You really need to look at it like this. He is only 24 man. Have we had a rough start to our relationship?? Yes very much so. But I wish ppl would understand(not u in particular) that there has been more to his situation than just him not wanting to be here or him always being injured. Him being misdiagnosed by our med staff was HUGE. I can't stress that enough. It set him back by a full year!! This kid is finally healthy and 100% healthy at that. He is the lone piece remaining from us losing our superstar. This kid is a top 5 sg in this league when healthy. Well, he is finally healthy now. To me. We have to see him play atleast up until the trade deadline. If he is missing a bunch of games cause of injuries then I'm officially on the trade him wagon. That's IF we can trade him lol. Not like he's coming off torn ligaments in his knee or something. He hasn't had 1 MAJOR injury. So him being 100% healthy is very much accurate. That's where I'm at with the Gordon situation tho. I think many ppl on here and in general will be changing their tune once we are a few months into next season. You don't just stumble upon a 20ppg sg in this league.

I completely understand man. I am one of the biggest Gordon defenders, so you don't need to convince me of that. However I would not mind if that trade allowed us to make a line up like this:

    Burke
    Bazz
    Iggy/ Josh Smith
    Davis
    Howard/Pekovic

    1. Cavs - Noel
    2. Magic - Porter
    3. Wiz - Bennett/Len
    4. Bobcats - McLemore
    5. Suns - Oladipo
    6. Pelicans - Burke

Magic trade Porter to Pelicans for Burke + 2014 Top 6 protected first round pick.

After finding out the draft order last night, I tried to go through this about 50 times and I can't come up with any set order that I'm confidient will happen at this point. I could see the Cavs taking Porter. I could see Orlando taking McLemore. Really everything depends on what happens at #2 unless the Cavs go away from drafting Noel.

If us getting a lineup like that meant trading Gordon ...2 words come to mind......astalavesta baby!!!! (not sure if that's spelled right)
