    LMAO. No takesies backsies.

"I'm not going to allow my putative owner to answer that question, this is an NBA related press conference. Paul Tagliabue and Roger Goodell have collectively sung their praises of Tom and if uh ESPN has a problem with that tell Mr. Skipper to call me at my office."

He's become a very respectable role player for the Grizzlies.

One of those 3 and D players that have become so valued in today's game.

I am happy with GV. I like what Q-Pon is doing, but I like what GV is giving us more.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

GV is only giving garbage numbers and no defense on a lottery team. That's not giving anything.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

All the more reason to be patient with Darius Miller and not just throw him in as a trade sweetener.

Too bad he didn't get as many minutes as possible in a wasted season yet Brian Roberts got plenty of PT. And Lou Admundson late in the year.

We could use one at SF unless Darius Miller steps up.

You are right, he could be giving a great performance as a backup on a real team.

He's not that great of a backup either. That's a myth perpuated on this forum.

    GV was not that bad.

    Please proceed though.
GV is a LIABILITY on defense. AKA ---- he hurts the team. Period. Players that hurt their teams are not good players, and should definitely not be starters.

This is not 11-man football, it is much harder to hide deficiencies in the NBA, especially the playoffs. The playoffs are all about match ups. It would not matter what we tried to do, teams would find a way to exploit GV. I can't see us winning a single playoff series if he is our starting 1.
    Ever.

Don't get me wrong, I love his passion and he does have some offensive game. But until we upgrade the 1, we will be a lottery team or a first round exit at best.

Go look up their stats and then get back at me. Better yet, this board believes in Gordon like I believed in Harvey Dent, go compare GV's first year as a full time starter to this of Gordon's. Advanced stats don't lie, GV holds his own with both those guys (crazy I know).

    But hate on!

It seems Memphis had high praise for G.V. I think some of you just want Q-Pon back. Understandable.

    Which advanced stats?

I never praised Gordon either. I said last year he wasn't worth a max contract even at his best. He's never been that kind of player.

But you won't find GV's advanced stats as good as theirs unless you look at PER which is pretty worthless overall.

GV isn't bad at all. But that doesn't mean he should stay our starter.

GV can not guard starting PGs in playoffs to help us win a championship. The End. I want to keep him around to play on second team and come in as 7th man or 1st guard off bench. He can play both PG or SG on second team and dominate other second teams. He starts and gets good scoring, but no defense. I am tired of watching the opposing PG blow by him into the lane. The opposing PG either makes the floater over davis or someone helps, and they get a open 3. I would like to trade him for a better player to fit our system. Especially if we grab burke in draft.

vasquez could be andre miller 2.0 if we had a starter, which we do not
right now he's what we have, which is better than what some other teams have, and worse than what every playoff team has
PG must be upgraded...either by vasquez getting better, or replaced as the starter

BTW...watching our draft picks play well elsewhere sucks...the end

His value will never be higher than it is right now. Trade him while you can get something good.
