    But now, Lebron, CP3, Durant.
Honestly I was right there with you back then but I don't see it anymore. Dwight doesn't dominate like he should. Doesn't seem to work on his game at all. He should be a monster in the paint along the lines of Shaq or Hakeem especially now when there isn't really anyone who can challenge him physically, but it doesn't happen. Sad really, he works on his impressions more than his post game. But like I said just on his physical ability he is the best center in the game but he should be so much more.
We want more! We want more!

I agree, Dwight should be WAYYYY better than what he is now. Lebron kind of went through the same thing. Lebron relied on his unmatched physical abilities but he knew it would only get him so far. He went to Hakeem's camp and dude's game just took off! Durant will have to make that jump too. Durant depends on his height in every aspect of his game. He's going to learn one day (maybe now) that he has to become a complete player. No reason why with his height he shouldn't be averaging 10 rebounds a game.

if the Rockets somehow land Dwight, would the Pelicans accept a trade of Omer Asik and either Thomas Robinson or Terrence Jones for Ryan Anderson and Robin Lopez?

At least with those big 3s I mentioned, each player compliments each other. Lebron and wade basically are the same player.
Wow, so Lebron is not consistent? The big 3 is the reason they dominate. The role players certainly help, but without those 3, they are not in the playoffs.

How would this effect us besides just making a division foe better? Would this force us to make a splash in FA on a center?

It really effects everybody, especially in the west. Just Dwight doesn't worry me, but cp3 AND Dwight will make Dallas or Houston a serious problem. There is no one out there to deal with Dwight outside of a healthy Bynum or Oden and you have a better chance signing a unicorn.

I rephrased myself, I said MOST consistent.

And they win games because of their big 3, but they dominate because of their role players and bench. If you can stop their role players, they are beatable.

And you say without those 3? Heck, just ONE of them will get them to the playoffs. Wade has definitely had worse role players and got them to the playoffs on one leg.

If the Pacers can shut down their role players, Pacers have a chance of winning the series. They almost did it last year if it wasn't for their PG's forgetting that they Hibbert and West down low.

Houston is the perfect fit for Dwight. He can go to a big city without the expectations. He gets to play with a good GM who WILL surround him with guys who will mask his massive flaws. He gets to play with a true alpha dog who cut his teeth as a 6th man ancilliary star who is not gonna care who gets the credit. His historical comparisons are Hakeem, Yao, and Ralph Sampson. Not Wilt, Kareem, and Shaq. He finishes as the 2nd best center in Rocket history no matter what he does. He can't lose. In LA, he's the worst of the bunch no matter what he does. He can't win.

Quick tangent: You know what pisses me off about Dwight. Alonzo Mourning. They are same person statwise, but history is gonna remember them differently because Alonzo played against Hakeem, Shaq, Ewing and Robinson, If Alonzo would have come along in 2004 instead of Dwight he would be considered an all-time great who flat out dominated his competition and left it all on the court. Instead he's considered the 5th best center of the 90s. I hate the fact that Dwight is gonna coast to all time status simply because his competition is a bunch of stiffs. I hope he comes to Houston and Anthony Davis goes all Tim Duncan on him.

    Tangent over.

I agree with all of this, especially the tangent!
