As in not tasty? I can see how some might find it so.
All I'm saying is that it's past time for fans of this team to take off the training wheels and stop looking for spoon-fed information. We have to be better than that. We have to take all the info out there, sort it, and really see what's going on rather than be distracted by nonsense. What this guy is saying is almost impossible to verify, so just remember it and look for other info that will come in time that supports it or not. Judge the poster accordingly.
Even then, things change, and sources are sometimes wrong in their interpretation of things (e.g. maybe that guy has people who agree with him to his face to be nice but really don't feel strongly).
We need to judge the information before we judge the source.

I would say 2 things.
1. Professional reporters get this kind of stuff wrong all the time (See Broussard, Chris), so anytime John Q Fan comes on and says that John Q Player told him XYZ, plenty of people here are going to show skepticism, and some of the people are going to be pretty cruel in their comments. The cruelty is probably based in jealousy that you know a player well enough to talk to them but they don't.
2. My guess is that whomever John Q Player is, he would not be happy that you blabbed what he said, whatever that might be, on Pelicans Report. These guys have enough issues with the press revealing what they think is inside info, when it is someone who is supposed to be a friend, that just cannot end well. I do know someone who works for the team and he has told me certain things about various players, but those thoughts will never see the light of day on this site, (a) because they would get the very same reaction that you are getting and (b) it would breach a confidence.

BUT HE SAID WITH ALL DUE RESPECT!!!?!?!?!?!![]()
It's a very touchy subject for a number of reasons.
It can be done well. I have not really been fussed at, but I'm not a big blabber mouth.
Figuring out how to say something is almost as important as figuring out if you should say something or if you will say something.
Whether to say something is at times merely a judgment call. Something like this won't torpedo someone's career, so no bigger. Revealing health info is totally different.
I have no issue with what Guru did, but if I had to pick, if forced to, I think trying to narrow the set of players to assure the fanbase it wasn't a key player may have been too tight of a net.
Maybe.
Again, I have no issue with him and do not doubt this info at this point, because it is very reasonable.
I really don't think this is a big deal, I was joking a bit. I do expect the player HG mentioned to not be with the team next year.
I agree.
Just making conversation.
i hate to say it but monty's time is close to up. the franchise is going in a new direction. he didn't play davis enough in 4th quarters, and had extremely poor 4th quarters and lineup choices. the monty of last year was not the monty of years past
Tomorrow we be hearing the opposite, that the player love and want him to stay.
I don't see this being a big deal unless its one of our main 3 players we plan on using for the future. As an athlete that's played on many teams and had many different coaches w many different styles of coaching I can wo a doubt say that not everyone likes their coach as much as the next player. It's just like any business. Some people get along w the boss greatly, some are indifferent, and some don't like the coach. You will have all three of those opinions on every team no matter what.
The coaches job it to teach and coordinate the players on the field to the best of their collective abilities - not to make sure that everyone likes his style or gets along w him. Some coaches rely more on one player or scheme while other don't focus on one player at all. Every aspect of sports is 100% in relation to real life. It's all about how you put the different pieces together, and there are countless ways to be successful in life.
HornetGuru: so you post about a comment that a player was supposed to have made...why try and create a flame then stroke it? What's the point? Youmthinkmevery player is happy on every team? .. Does the guy want minutes?... That player won't trust you anymore becaus he's afraid his name gets leaked...they should cut the guy since Monty is very honest with the players about their performance.... Sounds like a disgruntled pampered kind of a guy.

2- Your Defense is only as good as your HELP/ROTATING defenders.

4- You design your roster to win a 7 game series not a one game confrontation.
he gets minutes and monty seems to like him, and create a flame? what are u talking about? i simply tried to share inside info with people on this board, info i could have kept to myself but thought others would like to hear, i didnt create a flame, im just defending myself, also ive stated if people dont believe me i dont care, for those who do, enjoy the info.
I don't agree with digging up old threads to bash Guru. Either you accept what he says or you don't. To be honest I listen to everything everyone says and then make up my mind for myself what all I believe. No reason to flame a dude for posting things. And heck, I argue with Guru just as much as anyone.
Believe what you want to believe but don't punish the messenger for providing some info.
I believe in Demps. Who do you believe in?
I cant say im a huge fan of Monty either right now, just saying
New Orleans Pelicans-Seattle Seahawks-Atlanta Braves-Anaheim Ducks

I can remember Tony Parker saying that the reason he's that good is because Pop' was very harsh with him. It worked for him but I'm pretty sure that he hated his coach when he was younger.
Some players can't live with coach with high standard, that's all.
