His shot is dreadful, and I'm afraid his game is based on bullying people around, and I'm not sure he does that in the NBA - especially if he is playing SG.
    I'll answer this again.

Burke's TOV% is 16.7% during his freshman year. Now it's at 11.9%. I don't know how he got those turnovers but either way, they were.

His shot isn't as dreadful as you make it out to be. As I said, he has some solid fundamentals in place: elbows are intact, shoulders are squared, he pushes upward (instead of forward) which helps create a good arc on his shots and he follows through. His problems are: 1 shot creation and 2. some inconsistencies with his leg (which sometimes causes him to lose balance). Doesn't mean it's not fixable.

His game is built on bullying people around. But its precisely because of that why I want him. I don't care if he's a PG or a SG. What I do know is that the number of players that are faster AND stronger than him are few. He's fast. He's not FAST FAST (like Westbrook) but he's fast and quick enough to play defense against the quick players in the league. He's strong. So whether he's guarded by quick players (usually people call them PGs) or players called "SGs" he will have an advantage, physically.

I agree that Smart is not a bad shooter, he has great shooting mechanics and shows promise on his jumpshot, plus that is the easiest thing to fix, I think Smarts jumper will be fine and will improve a lot.

    If we draft 5th...

I feel like Burke has that "it" factor. If I was sitting at 5 he'd be my pick, then id go into FA for a veteran SF

Agree, smart definetly has that IT factor and he is clutch and looks like he lives for the big moment and performs well for it.

I think they'll both have good careers. I just think Smart has a higher ceiling. I'd be happy with either.

I want Burke, but I would be very excited to grab Oladipo as well. Especially since that might just assure that Gordon moves on.
    Wherehappens.

We'd need more shooting from the SF position IMO. Like the other 4, though.

Forget Smart's offensive game, defensively he brings everything Monty and Dell want in their PG. I wouldn't be surprised if he was 1st on their big board.

How tall are these players? Oladipo? Burke? Smart? Porter?

I like Smart overall as a prospect and top 3 for sure, but I think he would be a bad fit with Gordon. Smart definitely needs the ball in his hands to be effective and he will be one of those high usage PGs who will look for his own shot. I think he's better suited for a team devoid of talent until he expands his game. I also see him more of a SG than PG in this league.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston
