Doesn't work that way all the time. Confidence plays a big factor as well and a lot of these kids aren't good enough to compete right away so they get overwhelmed and develop bad habits. Some of these guys need more time in school to compete against other guys on their level and know what they need to work on.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

What a terrible effort by the team tonight. Last home game of the season you'd think they'd put in more effort tonight for the fans. I don't expect to win but I also didn't expect the **** poor effort tonight.

Yeah, same. I was expecting more but it was an ok send off.

Monty was pissed, he questioned guys passion and maturity. I expect major changes this offseason. Bye bye Aminu, Lopez, Harris, Henry, Gordon

Bad performance in the final hornets home game. It was awesome how Hugo got a standing ovation. Does anyone know how to get Austin Rivers to sight a jersey? I saw there were a few Mardi gras ones left only Rivers so I got it 50% off but it is far too long. Does anyone know a way to meet him? Thanks.

Again, that is why I say they should play at the highest level they can get minutes at. That would nearly always put them at a level where they are around the same level as their peers instead of too high or too low to get much out of playing the games. That level can be college, the D-League, overseas, or the NBA for the especially talented.

You know I'd just like to say that the crowd really seemed to show up tonight, they wanted to cheer on the team but the team laid an egg.

As far as I can tell it was the second highest attended game this season.

Looking for some serious turnover. I believe Monty and Del have no problem dancing with the ones that brought them, but I imagine in order to move GV or Lopez we will have to pair them and their awesome contract with Gordon (for better or worse), and that will net us our next building block to go with Davis, Anderson, and our lotto pick).
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

    GV, Lopez, and Gordon.

Two of them at minimum should be shipped elsewhere.

I like that Lopez overachieved, but for him to be so big and average 5.5 rebounds? Ugh.

I can see Vasquez getting traded to Detroit. They need a PG, and he fits their team. They traded for Calderon, who is a lot like Vasquez in his style of play (but way older), but I'm not sure what I'd ask for in return.

I think GV and Gordon could be gone. Lopez sticks because he's on a good contract for what's he worth. Also, it's only SO much we can do in one offseason. Lopez is good enough that he can stay. It's not like he had a bad year. He's a pretty decent big man.

does Charlie V come off the books next year? If so, I would trade GV to Detroit for Charlie. Or I would trade him for the ghost of the Bill Lambier.

(LJ, Mourning, Bogues, Curry...)
I remember I still have a carpet with Glen Rice on the cover, and BJ Armstrong, D. Wesley, B. Phils & Divac on the back.

When I was younger, I just could watch the highlights of the games they were showing on a nba dedicated program off a local tv channel. But with the pass of the time, the globalization and the sources that allowed to easily follow NBA (like league pass) I've been watching most of the games of the Hornets since 4 years ago.

The changing of brand, name and logo from Hornets to Pelicans was really tough for me, with the pass of the months I learned to accept it and will follow the team through. To be honest, now I can't wait to see the new unis, the logo is looking pretty good.

Anyway, with this move going ahead, I don't know if it will ever be the same though
    , time will say.

Well said. I'm still behind New Orleans, but something intangible, yet very powerful, will be lost after one more game. Things will never be as they were and it's excruciating.
Old fan. Tired fan. I want to believe.
