It's amazing, people complain when Monty doesn't go with the hot hand and now that he does people either complain or come to some sort of conclusion that Monty sat him because of a "lack of energy." He sat him because of foul trouble and Jason Smith took advantage of his time on the court. Monty did what was right, and I'm happy that he did.
Eric Gordon should have had the ball at the end of the 4th. Great players come up with great plays regardless of how the game is going for them. He showed that in OT but great game from GV.
This team always hangs around in games til the 4th.. Gordon is the closer this team has needed. We've lost a lot of close games this year, not anymore.
Team showed grit tonight. Also, didn't get a chance to see the first half, how'd Aminu play?
Aminu had the game that he should have every night tonight. If he plays like he did tonight all the time, he'll guarantee himself a roster spot next year.
was encouraged by aminu's play..but he has to be consistent now
Listen to Sean Kelly when Gordon hit the game winner. Haha!

What exactly have you been trying to do about it Mark?
First, the Associated Press's headline when the Hornets lost to the Rockets back on Wednesday:
http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=400278191James Harden scores 31 as Rockets rout Hornets
I recall that game being pretty close down inside 4 minutes. Even then the Rockets struggled to pull away and win by 12. I don't recall the rout part of that game at all.
Now, in their game notes for tonight's game, there is this:
Since when does the AP point out questionable calls in this fashion? If they are going to point that out, then what about the calls on Gordon on Dirk, or the non-call on Smith?... Marion could only smile when he was called for a foul in the third quarter, when he barely made contact with Vasquez. The Hornets guard fell back onto the floor like he had shoved hard. ...
AP, that is pathetic and lazy. Get it together.
Jesus. I wish I hadn't seen that. The big market bias has never been more prevalent.
so bummed i missed this game! but excited, as others have mentioned, that we may have a set rotation now.
aminu is so key for us, really hope we can show some consistency. i'm absolutely amazed that he's starting after he was basically written off, and that he was able to play well given how that must've affected his confidence.
I saw both of those and scratched my head. I didn't know a 12 point loss was considered a rout these days. I mean I don't think the Rockets had such a comfortable lead that they were able to sit starters out down the stretch or anything did they?
And it sounds to me like they're trying to bring attention to something causing Vasquez to be fined.
Aminu had really a great game, like him a lot, but he has really a lot of trouble to controll the ball, i think he would habe some rebounds and 2 steals more if he would have controlled the ball better, but I was happy with his play... and he and Davis are the best Rebounders in the Team
that play was hilarious. he wasn't flopping he just lost his balance considering his feet are made of concrete and couldnt stabilize himself. he wasn't trying to get a call lol. i thought it was funny
Eric Gordon has ICE IN HIS VEINS!!!
http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2013/0...oses-out-mavs/“Our record really doesn’t identify who we are,” Vasquez said. “We have been in games and because our inexperience really gets to us, teams have been able to beat us the last two minutes of the game. But it is a learning process. I tell you, we have this vision that we are going to be a great team, and that takes some time. In the NBA, it’s too cruel, it’s cold-blooded. You’ve got to understand that you have to have really a strong mindset because it’s not going to be easy. We’re going through that.”
