That's true, but the second part of my sentence is also true. Eye test tells me we are definitely one of the worst teams if not the worst, and it's frustrating.

Not consistently enough to warrant him untouchable.

Where else would you put him? Against Hibbert? George? Davis is going to have to take his lumps and this is one of those nights.

Probably because he was kind of frustrating West early on but West/Vogel adjusted and Monty didn't.

Get his licks in. Show him what people can do to him so he can learn. It shouldn't be a mismatch in the future.

Two seasons to be precise. Went from averaging under 9 a game to suddenly dropping 18 per. Not coincidentally, coinciding with the moment the Hornets drafted Chris Paul.

The fact that it's this close is bad enough. It's disappointing because so many of you guys really had high hopes for the season. It not that bad for me I was expecting these struggles.

I feel the same way....mostly because I feel the draft this year outside of like 3 players is garbage. And there's no guarantee we'll have the same luck we had last yr with a #1 pick. Remember this is a lottery....

Its just so hard watching this team sometimes...I'm mean you love em cuz its your team and they're trying and all but ****....LOL.

If anything, we expected to be better than last year. I don't think that was an irrational expectation. I didn't really expect a playoff push, although I was hoping for one. But I definitely thought we would be better than this.

I think when most people gave their exceptions at the beginning of the season they thought that Gordon would at least begin the season playing and didn't foresee Davis' injury. They wouldn't have been this bad had those two things not happened.

I know what this team can be capable of. But I'm down for another high draft pick. I wasn't expecting much this season because I knew we were young. If this season lands us a guy like Shabazz Muhammad, then you guys won't be disappointed.

Your thinking is way too short-sighted.

Sure, we may lack the big enforcer for a short period of time if we trade Lopez away. But choosing not to capitalize on his high value to bolster our backcourt if the opportunity presents itself is foolish. His production can easily be replaced via FA or the draft. This isn't a knock on him, but its the truth.

You scoffed at the concept of trading him. I'm saying its not a bad idea, despite his great games lumped between his solid performances.

With me, those expectations were mistakenly founded on the assumption that we'd be full strength throughout most of the season. We went through an 11 game stretch without Davis and an have only just now gotten Gordon cleared to practice with the squad.

But whatever. It's all to an end. But contrary to the brainless, it is NOT so we can suck and get more a high draft picks, it's beyond that.

so what you're saying eman... is that a consistantly good point guard can make all the difference

I dont think anyone expected the top player to miss another 2 months, and the team would have to depend so much on Vasquez with the ball.

Those two things were worst possible scenarios early in the season.

And if they don't get Shabazz?

If this is the case clearly Monty isn't coaching to win.

And honestly after what West did him I would rather had him guard Hibbert.

Again, stop assuming you know how I feel about Lopez. I already said time and time again on this board that unless it's a clear upgrade at the position, there is no reason to get rid of him. A lot of people and I'm not saying it's you want to get rid of him for the sake of getting rid of him. The problem lies in that thought.

No, a consistently great player, of any kind, makes all the difference.

Both of you guys nailed it.

Great game. Lopez just boosted his trade value. Let's make a move for Bledsoe!

I wouldn't say he wasn't coaching to win. He's trying to develop and trying to win at the same time. It's a hard balance.
