They aren't even considering the other names I assure.
Movie industry and entertainment industry types trademark all kinds of crazy names along with the one they are going to use, for a variety of reasons: keeping people guessing, off the scent, floating other names that people hate so the main one works better, etc.
It is going to be Pelicans. Without question.

Anyway. Even if true, you can file a trademark for a lot of things, even if you never plan on using it. Do the Brass and Voodoo trademarks already exist? I know the Voodoo one does.
