It's sad, but boxing out and rebounding position isn't something taught very much these days when guys are young. And I'm sure Coach Cal didn't spend an incredible amount of time at Kentucky teaching him stuff like that.

He'll get it.

He'll understand why you box out because you HAVE to. In fact, it becomes even more critical the bigger and longer you are. It's too easy to roll and ankle jumping high without clearing space.
