No. I'm with the Vasquez to the bench or at least not having the freaking ball in his hands at the end of games as much. But that it happened to the Wizards is somehow unacceptable and people are talking about being embarrassed and the like. Its being overblown.

I agree turrible loss / game but no worse then any other loss. Stings (get it? derp) a lil more cause they havent won a road game all year and we started pretty strong. oh well, tomorrow's game will be better right?

While watching this game It just looked like the hornets were just playing lackadaisical and sloppy and just seemed to act if this was going to be an easy win. The Wizards SUCK but aren't we like the worst team in the west?

I gotcha im really annoyed with this loss but it was a bad shooting night that caused the loss. Having said that Vazquez has been consistently on both extremes (good and bad). He has more bad games then id like.

    Gameday Thread: Wizards @ Hornets

I don't get Monty sometimes. X has been playing well. Sooo we take him out completely and play mason a bunch. I don't understand.

Aminu shrinks the floor soo much. He isn't a threat to ever shoot a jumper.

Vasq was aweful and terrible tonight.

And jeez Roberts is not a good pg. he is a sg. Too selfish.

Good, the more ping pong balls we get, the better.

I am this close to being done with Aminu.

Vasquez shouldn't even be on the floor during crunch time like that anyway. We'll see what develops.

I'm there. He has no excuse for being such a poor defender. He has no floor awareness. I can understand his offensive struggles, but he is supposed to be a great defensive player (especially with Monty coaching him), but he just can't get it done. Total bust.

On a positive note, Rivers played a great game. What makes me even happier is that he did it from the SG position with Vasquez hogging the ball all game. When Rivers did have the ball in his hands, however, he made plays. I can definitely get used to seeing him toss a few lobs to Davis every game. That was a thing of beauty!

In recent years, the Hornets seemed to forget how to play in the 3rd quarter. That's pretty bad, but forgetting in the 4th is even worse. 10 points...against the Wizards....ugh.
Old fan. Tired fan. I want to believe.

It's important to never get to high or low. It sucks that we lost, but there is a lot to learn from and be happy with from this game.

In the fourth quarter, it almost seemed like there was a lid on the rim. Plenty of good looks that should have gone in but didn't.

I mean, if we were a team on the verge, legitimate 4-6 seeds and we drop games like this, I'd be more upset. But this is a work in progress. Hell, there's a part of me that DOES hope we don't...I won't give voice to that part of me actually. But I'm not stressing so much.

And yeah Aminu's gonna Aminu. The only problem with Darius Miller is he fouls too much. Otherwise, I say he should start.

  17. #267
How about this trade idea... Vasquez to Minny for Derrick Williams.

Monty said X had a "body issue" that prevented him from playing tonight.

A.Davis: "Any loss is disappointing, especially when we had a 13-point lead. You want to stomp on a team's neck and get it up to 20 or 30."

    ^ Lol, Davis is ruthless

Jason Smith: "(The Wizards) came in playing at a high-caliber; they just haven't been winning close games. Tonight they got us."

Monty: "You can say we defended because they only scored 77 points, but we did not play with the effort necessary to win an NBA game."

Sounds like he was inflicted with "bowel of a 78 year old" syndrome to me.

I'm not sure if he meant just tonight or like always though.

Or it could be that he's playing too heavy.

Positives: We are on our way to a strong draft pick (I wish it was the 2014 draft though)
    Rivers showed improvement

It must suck to be a Wizards fan. Everyone dumping bad contracts on you. No signs of progress. Maybe the playoffs every half decade or more. Tough times indeed.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

    Davis has otherworldly talent.

The riffraff is playing its way off the team. (This is a good thing because the sooner we truly know the sooner we can move on from them.)
