The more time I give it, the more and more Pelicans grows on me.
I really like the name and I'm excited to see more details.
Im curious on how everything is going to look tho
New Orleans Pelicans-Seattle Seahawks-Atlanta Braves-Anaheim Ducks
RIP HunnyB
This fits HunnyB/FlyGirl so well- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyzTiSEfM00
I prefer Pelicans to Krewe, and would probably be just as excited for Brass as I am for Pelicans. Jesters and Revelers are lazy names invented by people who have no idea what this city is about.
Yeh it's fake. Lets go Knightssssss!!!!!!
Ballin
The Lakers easily handled the New Orleans Pelicans (Hornets), coasting to a 103-87 road victory...
just doesn't sound good to me
KNIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!
The Hive > The Castle
Red, Navy and Gold fit, seriously pelicans, we are going to be a laughing stock
Tom Benson should buy the entire Arena league for 5 mill and put it out of it's misery, which they deserve for giving Arena fans that Arena 2 crap.
Tommy Boy could then take the Voodoo name back and give this team the best brand in the NBA. From the logo to the mascot, Voodoo Dolls to the Graveyard and the Bee Zanies could become the Zombies. THIS WOULD BE EPIC!
As you can see i'm still holding out hope that some last minute deal could be worked out...
I am The Walking Dead.

I can so see Pelicans being colloquially shortened to P-Cans

On Fox 8, that Hornets still kicking around different names. Nothing's official. Should know more in approx 3 months.
Could VooDoo still be alive.
The name Pelicans hasn't been used in New Orleans sports in some 35 years. The Brass died b/c of the Hornets (remember the Hornets forced the Brass out the NO Arena when the team moved from Charlotte and the Brass had nowhere else to go... Municipal Arena was too small)
Pelicans would be both historic yet new... Brass could very well bring up some bad memories... esp. among the few hockey fans in NOLA (yes it's a small contingent but I know they're there)
never said that it did... in fact I said it was both historic and new
plenty of fans know about the baseball team... but how many people really KNOW the baseball team... if you see what I'm getting at.
you're playing to the city's sports history... but yet it's still quite unique
