I'm just upset that I was too late for the EG "appreciation" thread.
Jim Eichenhofer @Jim_Eichenhofer
Austin Rivers, with a similar theme: "We outplayed (Houston) for three quarters but they just killed us so badly in the second quarter."
3m Jim Eichenhofer @Jim_Eichenhofer
Anthony Davis: "The 2nd quarter was when it got out of hand. We just gave up too many points. We were trying to fight out of a hole."
Lin, Harden, and Parsons either played the entire fourth or were very close to it.
Lin played all but 18 seconds of the fourth.
Harden played all but 1 minute and 8 seconds of the fourth.
Parsons played the entire fourth.
Greivis played 7 minutes and 24 seconds in the fourth, Rivers played 8 minutes and 41 seconds in the fourth, but to me here is the real head scratcher, Aminu only played 4 minutes and 5 seconds in the fourth. Xavier played 7 minutes and 55 seconds in the fourth.

Monty could be doing his minutes by design. His first season with CP3/West I remember he went out of his way those first few months (at least) to conserve minutes for the starters. I know we as fans want wins and want to be as competitive as possible, but I actually like the fact that Monty believes in not burning his players out if at all possible, especially this early in the season. I think the fact that the Rockets principals played almost all of the fourth is ridiculous.
Flame away at me if you wish.
Rockets main men logging so many minutes is the odd ball this early in the season. Guess they really wanted this one.
Rockets also have more identifiable players to go with. Hornets hot hands seems to change game by game. I could say more but that would require speaking the forbidden name.
It is...forrbeedden.
Great point. Rockets probably have more of an identity, therefore they can go straight to it and ride it. Us, not so much. It's a surprise to us who goes off from game to game, I can only imagine how Monty feels about that. He's probably still throwing players against the wall and seeing what sticks.
Is this who we are talking about?

Tough loss, but the team worked hard. Greivis Vásquez deserves more credit, he's been playing out of his mind for us so far.
Why does he even bother?
LOL do you think someone is doing his tweeting for him?
Still got to be positive about the game. This team can have some guys with an off night and still be in the game. They are really weak at one position. Imo, a shooting guard away, that can also play defense . I think we all knew that Harden or Chandler was going to go off on us tonight. Still was right in the game.
leave ej alone man some of yall are takin this way too far
No, he didn't play. He was MIA.
