Thread: November 17th - New Orleans Pelicans vs Denver Nuggets - 8-7

They played with a lot more energy tonight, even though it was the second night of a b2b to summarize. Second half was much better defensively, Jokic was taken out of his game despite his stats. Jrue and AD did their thing, Randle was oozing energy and Moore came alive late in the 4th. Very good win at home.

Also good to see: only 11 turnovers in the whole game. The way we've been playing recently, that's impressive, but especially against a team that steals the ball so well. Glad to see that. Davis with 8 assists and 0 turnovers must have been a big part of that.

Pelicans are 7-1 at home. Always a good sign.

good win last night......plumlee and jokic are some big dudes looking at them up close...it look like jokic was going to score 50pts in this game the way he was scoring in the 1st period....im glad that randall came in and started taking it to him to get him in foul trouble and AD followed...

clark had me wanting to throw a drink at him lol..

johnson is giving us what we ask of hill for 5mil less smh...

I’m really happy with Wesley Johnson. He and Etwaun are playing really well.

Whatever defensive adjustments the Pels made to stifle Jokic, worked well. It's nearly impossible to deal with us when Mirotic, Randle, and Davis do what they did last night. Great win!

they asked Jrue what they changed defensively to stifle him, "put AD on him" was his response haha.

I agree on the wes Johnson comment above Pelicans78 - while there have been a few silly turnovers about the place, he is bringing an energy and hustle to get at the boards, play some decent defense and hitting on his threes when he gets the chance. some big buckets over his defender too like last game. for a guy acclimating to a new team, his progress has certainly seemed pretty positive.
