I would say that playing strong defense in the paint, then getting the rebound despite it being contested, then sprinting from end to end while using court vision to make the good pass indicates a degree of energy. That's just me though. When I think of playing without energy, I don't think playing good defense, sprinting, and grabbing contested boards.
